Absolutely hilarious, this has to be my favourite scene ever in the series, because it's bonkers but eminently practical, what better way of testing a kitchen surfaces finish than smearing food on it, the cake mixture was the best! Sadly old age creeps up on us all. She was/is a very very talented lady, so glad the Queen made her a "Dame" well deserved.

Hyacinth is what we use to refer to as someone on a real ego trip. She is funny. Who every wrote this series did a brillant job It is so excellent, I love the show and so does my older family members. Thanks to AZ PBS we have been getting this show for over 15 years. This is one episode I had not seen. Poor man she just gave him a heartattack.
