Great informative video! When speaking of the Tear Trough area what filler do you generally use? Honestly, filler does scare me especially in this area . I would much prefer using a more natural approach such as PRP/ PRF but is the final result comparable to using a filler in that area? Thank you! 😊

Hi I like PRF for under eyes if patient is a good candidate. I made a whole video on it: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eJaulJ1-maigac0si=E8Z3lcW2_CpsT_CA I see good results from it but the results are variable as we are depending on the person's collagen production

Dr another excellent video! . Would you please advise what filler you recommend for chin “shadows” and mental crease? Also considering a little Botox in my chin for my 52 year old face. Thoughts on chin Botox? Thank you
@drswatikannan
@drswatikannan Ай бұрын
Botox is great for chin and DAO muscles. I am a big fan of Botox for the chin (chintox). For filler, there are multiple filler products from various companies and usually the type of filler we use depends on how much of chin shadow you have. If you're interested, I have video on botox too: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gHaUpaZqqrWop5Isi=k8XUil-VlDHYfK8K

Great video Dr Swati. Can you do a video in Profhilo or SkinVive. I am based in australia and my provider recommended me chin filler. 1ml of restylane lyft. I am confused if i should go for voluma instead. Please let me know your thoughts. Thanks

Lyft and voluma are similar. Either one on the chin is fine.

Dr Kannan, that was a wonderful video. What would be your suggestion if someone aged 44 has just had their second round of PRF EZ Gel for undereye hollowing and the patient has lovely skin, thick etc and is on tretinoin but even after round 2 of PRF EZ Gel, the hollows are still very much there after 2 weeks of having the second session? Would it be time to start looking at a bit of HA fillier?
@drswatikannan
@drswatikannan Ай бұрын
Hi Thank you for watching. If the patient is the right candidate for PRF, I usually do 3 sessions, and space them 4 weeks apart. If they don't see the augmentation they're hoping for, then I would discuss the under eye filler.

@@drswatikannan Thank you so much Dr Kannan. You are the best teacher on KZbin. I have never seen or heard anyone explain PRF EZ Gel like you did in such an easy way to understand. Obviously things change in this industry all the time. In 2024 what would be your go to filler for undereye? The brand I keep hearing about is Ravanesse been arguably the greatest. I have a list of 3 I have researched for undereye. That includes: Ravanesse, Redensity 2 and Belotero. Have you heard of Ravanesse. When you have done the third session of PRF undereye can the patient have Tixel for the fine lines and wrinkles undereye or do you suggest a different type of laser resurfacing such as CO2 or a milder Clear and Brilliant and and am I right in thinking Tixel, C02 and Clear and Brilliant will not destroy the facial fat pads because that is the last thing we want with mild hollow eyes? Thank you so much. You are the best!

@@acquiesce100 Hi, thank you so much for the compliment. My choice for under eye filler really depends on the patient's trough and skin quality. If the skin is very thin, I'll do belotero even if it doens't last as long. If the skin quality if thicker, I'll do restylane L or Redensity. Honestly, it's not the filler type that's important but the injector who will choose the right product and do the right technique for you. We all have our own preferences for fillers. And yes Tixel can be added even after PRF is done. And clear & brilliant is very gentle so it helps slightly with eyes but won't tighten it that much. And no those lasers won't destroy fat pads.

@@drswatikannan Dr Kannan, thank you so much. It's quite hard getting your mind around all the different treatments. If someone has done all three PRF and its helped improve the skin but hasn't quite given them the augmentation they want, should they have filler placed first before they do Tixel or other laser resurfacing to tackle the crepey and fine lines under the eye or should the laser resurfacing be done before the filler? I'm assuming CO2 is possibly a better choice to achieve the tightening undereye to tackle the crepey skin and fine lines? And I assume CO2 won't destroy the fat pads? You are amazing. Thank you!

@@acquiesce100 There are a lot of treatments so it's confusing. But I wouldn't focus on the devices as much as finding the right cosmetic dermatologist for you. It's like focusing on paints instead of the painter or artist, as we all have our preferences. In general CO2 is more tightening than Tixel. And I usually would do lasers first to tighten prior to placing filler. But it really all depends on the patient and what's needed. Hope that answers it.

What skin tightening procedures do you think are worth trying? Some of them use heat and dissolve fat. Why don’t fillers don’t go away 100% like it was thought?

Fillers don't dissolve completely as an enzyme called hyaluronidase is needed to dissolve it, and your skin doesn't consistently produce it. A lot of the filler over time does flatten or migrate to a different part of the skin but it never 100% goes away.

@@drswatikannan That is so very different than what I was told. It was always they are natural to the body and dissolve with time which is why they don’t last. I was also told new fillers are much better and thinner. I’ve had fillers and just recently to the lips. I’m so concerned now. Why does the FDA let this continue if they don’t leave the body? Thank you for replying!

@@whiteloria It's not dangerous and it is similar to the hyaluronic acid already found within your skin. The only issue with it not dissolving fully over time is that if you keep on adding filler on top of filler, you can get overfilled face. But it's not a safety concern for most patients. It may not look good but it's not dangerous.
