As a stylist of nearly a few years, I can share with you you, that you're not intended to apply harsh hair shampoo on your hair. I have observed hairlines of many people, and I observed that folks who were using strong shampoos generally had thin hair line. So I suggest only to use gentle shampoo cleanser only. I personally use and suggest to apply litttleextra cocconioon shampoo only. Also, do hot oil massage two times a week as it improves circulation and promotes hair.

I just bought a hyaluronic acid serum to use in conjunction with niacinamide serum that I have recently started using (to prevent skin cancer). I am also taking niacinamide orally. I have seen a big difference in the look and feel of my skin in the last month. Tonight I researched hyaluronic acid to make sure it doesn't have any negative effects on glaucoma, heart, cholesterol, skin cancer and hair loss (things I deal with). I was surprised to see articles regarding hyaluronic acid and pancreatic, breast, bladder, prostate, lung and colon cancer (feeds tumors) and hiding a diagnosis of liver disease. I have low porosity and very dense/thick straight hair, whenever I have tried to do scalp care the build up from oils, creams, and treatments with protein will just inflame my scalp. When I need moisture in my scalp that I cannot get from hair products, I use the ordinary hyaluronic acid right after I shower. I’m not worried at all about hair volume, in fact I have a bit too much of it, and hyaluronic acid is just light enough compared to other products to actually help bring moisture to my scalp! I know this video is for the actual hair itself, but if you are similar to me and struggling to find a way to bring moisture to your scalp, I’d say giving it a try is worth it.

Dr. Shah, you NEED to use Got2B Powder’ful Volumizing hair powder in your hair. You just shake a tiny (and I really mean tiny) amount down on your roots (under the parts of your hair you want lifted) and using your fingers tips, muss up that area to the roots and then smooth the hair over it. It’s basically a teasing powder but it does the teasing for you. I have very fine hair and I use this stuff all the time or my hair would just go flat to my scalp. A small bottle lasts forever and is pretty cheap in the first place.
@geewiz82532 жыл бұрын
You can also get a container (small container with lid or a new or unused salt shaker), put cornstarch (or arrowroot, although I never tried arrowroot, or rice powder), add a few drops of rosemary essential oil or any skin safe essential oil that you like, mix ingredients, shake it onto your roots, shake it and spread the power through your roots with your fingers, and there you go! Natural diy dry shampoo and root volumizer without all the artificial ingredients and harsh and unnecessary chemicals! 😉 Hope it works for you if you read this or anyone else reading this!

People with shorter haircuts on the whole do not tend to suffer from dry, damaged ends because the scalp produces oils that keep the cuticle in good condition. As the hair grows and becomes more distant from the scalp the hair does not benefit from those oils and dries out. This is why shampoo is primarily for cleaning the scalp, the rest of the hair is cleaned as it is rinsed out, conditioner is for the distant ends and the parts that get tangled.

I hope you don't mind me answering. My suggestion is you use HA as a sort of treatment or hair mask to restore moisture after excessive heat styling.
@DaniHMcV3 жыл бұрын
I would use it after heat. If you draw more water into your hair and then apply heat, I would think it could cause a lot of damage. Use something more silicone-ish to protect the hair while using heat. Then ince cooled, maybe spray hyaluronic acid to ends.
@freestylestuntkayak3 жыл бұрын
Coconut oil really gets absorbed into the hair, so if it's dry, put that on first. Then use argan oil, this is actually a heat conducting oil (coconut oil is not) so the heat will do less damage.

I use coconut oil on the middle to ends when my hair is a little dryer and needs extra care and recovery. Or I use it on a diy hair mask (sometimes I mix some of these or all of these to make my mask: coconut oil, olive oil, raw egg or mayo, banana if I have it and honey, maybe avocado if I have it). Just don’t use coconut oil in your face if you have combination to oily skin since coconut oil is comedogenic (can clog pores). Hope this helps some people out there! 😃 👋

@@mimivee5494 this will actually depend on your hair type. Thick and curly can take a bit more plant oil. Look at the ingredients. Avoid 100% plant oils. I would say look for cyclopentasiloxane/dimethicone. It's a great lightweight ingredient but some people have issues with silicones (doctorly can help clear up the misinformation). At what level of humidity should you use HA? You always hear that in low humidity environments, it can actually suck moisture from your skin versus the air (I don't know if this is true, just what I've heard), so I was curious if there were numbers on this?

What Rachel B said is correct. You need to seal in the moisture just as you would if you put HA on your face then sealed with a water based facial cream. For hair, an alternative is also Aloe Vera juice. You can look up how this is used in hair to retain moisture. You would need to seal the moisture as well with a light or heavy product depending on the thickness of your strands, hair type and porosity.

@@moroniethecreator Thank you so much! If you know, would Dr. Jart's ceramidin cream be a good option for "sealing" the HA for the face? If you don't know, that's okay! I really appreciate your advice.

I think it works to moisturize however it will not stop your hair from splitting and will not reverse damaged hair and split ends!

It does make the hair heavier but for me with curly hair it actually helps my hair stick to its natural curlyness, i dont know why but it makes my curls stick together..

Just discovered you guys and like the videos. What do you think about using hyaluronic acid on 4A-C hair, specifically African American natural textured hair that is not relaxed? Are there potential problems with using hyaluronic acid that could arise, would you use it as frequently as the woman in the tik tok?

I use that for blepharitis, but I just use unscented leave in conditioner, but I guess my problem is more tangles and friz due to moisture rather than damage. But neat, because I know it works for eyelashes to keep things clean and smooth.
