My family and I have been here four times and we have been blown away with it each time. The service, the food, the activities, the pools...everything here is so fantastic. We are heading to Cancun next month and I sincerely hope it can match up with Los Cabos in general and the Ziva in particular. Thank you for your video, it brought back such good memories.

@@playeatwithus36 I loved it! The resort is so nice and well kept. The staff was amazing and very accommodating. And the location of the hotel wasn't too far from Cabo San Lucas. But I definitely recommend this hotel!

Only 2 restaurants that you really need reservation. First restaurant is Dozo Infusion Asian the Grill teppanyaki or sushi bar has limited seatings. So be at the door for when it opens at 5pm to make your reservations for the evening. They normally don’t allow reservations days ahead . There are three part to that restaurant: 1) grill with limited sushi menu 2) sushi bar with most sushi sashimi selections 3) fusion food dining area with limited rolls on menu that you have to ask for no sushi or sashimi is served at the dining area. Second restaurant is the La Hacienda steakhouse. They get booked up fast and to avoid it again be there right when it opens to make reservations for the evening. We usually go off peak dinner time but they are busy all the way past 8pm. Wifi is free and is great throughout the resort even by the pool side.

Glad you found it helpful! The supermarket is in walking distance and always practice safe travels when leaving resorts. The swim with dolphin excursion was five minutes walking distance from the resorts if you prefer the nearby location instead of the further San Jose dolphin excursion. Have fun planning!

Hi! There were local vendors trying to sell trinkets and not time share on the beach but have no access pass the lines onto Hyatt Ziva’s resort. They were pretty good in respecting guests space and not approaching again after guests declined.

Honestly how was the food ? And the room service ???

We honestly have to say quite good and kids were able to try new flavours and food. Especially the sushi bar at Dozo to us was fresh. However it was our first time in Mexico in 2018 that we were told by others that Cancun resorts would be better. Which we had an opportunity to try out this past October (watch for that review coming soon) we have to say food in Cancun was better but not to the extent that would put Los Cabos Hyatt Ziva food to shame. I have to say both had merits. We enjoyed all the restaurants exception the the fine dining experience of the French cuisine was a let down at Ziva.

Room service was great especially when we told them of our day excursions they were timely and food was hot to help us kickstart to an early outing for the excursions.

Great question as the excursions office is just kiddie corner to the front lobby where you check in. Depending on your airline you flew in these amazing airline transfers team can provide excursion recommendations. As language can be an issue when make bookings with the excursion companies its best someone that speaks the language to get you the best deals. The closest dolphin excursion is a five minute walk from the front door of Hyatt Ziva to Cabos Adventure pool to Swim with the dolphin excursion. But when you book with the front airline companies they also discuss pick up and drop off times as most of the excursions are in San Lucas such as the Sea of Cortez rock formations/ snorkeling/ camel back rides/ swim with dolphins/ release the turtles / ATV rides etc can be booked at the office across the lobby. Watch our other videos to give you an idea of the dolphin swim and release the turtles and snorkelling we did in one week. Let us know if you have any other questions! If I do All-inclusive, do I still have to pay tips for my meals? Or any additional charges am I going to anticipate?

No extra tips are expected as it says on most sites gratuity is include in the all inclusive resort. It’s once you see how hard the servers are working that most can’t help but to tip them. A little gesture helps makes them feel appreciated and most servers goes the extra mile to remember you and your group to make your experience more memorable. By the second or third visit if your group sit at the same table and have the same server they even remember what you like last ordered for drinks. It makes our experience with the kids feel special.

Hi! We are in Canada and used WestJet Vacations to book. We planned the trip during Westjet’s sales around March 6-7 months before the trip. Hopefully this helps you watch for vacation sales for your family.

Yes there are 24 hour room service but food choice is limited compared to the restaurants at the resort.

Yes Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos is an all inclusive for alcohol, meals and kids stay free under 12 years old. Certain premium alcohol upon request has additional costs. Overall great food variety from a la carte and buffet restaurants to bakery/cafe.

Hello, unfortunately the beaches off the Hyatt Ziva Resort at Los Cabos is not swimmable due to the strong undertow. There are warning signs and a lifeguard warning hotel guests to play safely on the beach but to not swim in the water as the currents are strong.

I only wish I had understood what you meant by shark Tank! Oh my gosh please warn everyone not to trust the people on the other side of immigration! It was awful! I wasn’t even out of the airport and all of the timeshare/great deal people were on me to the point that it was brutally ridiculous. Please tell everyone to avoid whatever people tell you and buy a gray line ticket to the hotel!!!

We couldn’t believe it either and still fresh in memories. They seriously reminded us like sharks and best to avoid eye contacts and seriously don’t even need to answer them. Keep walking for the outside door to find your transfer or transportation company. Best advice was to arrange with airline or research a trustworthy transport company to hire to get you to your hotel.

I’m sure if you’re ok with kids running around as most of the resort is family oriented. There is a over 18 poolside where no kids allowed.
