We are trying hybrid for the first time next year ☺️. 2x a week for my 3rd and 7th grader and 1x a week for my 9th grader. We are also Catholic attending an evangelical Christian hybrid homeschool. Greetings from Canada 🇨🇦

Aww, home with no kids? I feel like I would just sit and stare at the wall...I wouldn't know what to do!! We are exploring hybrid homeschool next year when baby girl is officially Kindergarten age..ahh, having an October birthday makes for intetesting decision making..esp. when its Oct. 31st 🎃🎃

We have two October birthdays! One we kept "behind" so he was one of the oldest in his class and the other is skipping ahead a grade this year. 🤷♀️

Would you please comment on how education is the most important thing in children life, I’m confused about this statement.

Education is how we prepare them for the world. Of course, there are other things that are more important, like family, love, faith, etc, but I meant as far as spending money. I would rather spend money on their education than other things.

I would add there is a difference between education, which I define as" gaining knowledge" versus schooling, which i would define as learning through certain "traditional" methods with a teacher, classroom, and defined assignments, etc....As a homeschool mom you can utilize schooling as you see fit, but the gaining of knowlege can happen in many different ways and can happen with or without adult guidance and direction. I would say EDUCATION is worth any monetary investment that works for your family's financial needs

How did you find a school that provided hybrid homeschooling and was it hard to find ?

They are becoming more and more common. I think the HSLDA website has a list of homeschool groups on it.
