It's from the exhaust fumes everywhere these days. I am 35 and lifted the hair on my temple and to my horror I saw two not just grey but shimmery silver hairs. Not just roots. The entire hairs were silver. How is that possible? I dye my hair monthly. I don't get it. Is nothing adhering to these hairs?

I’m just starting with gray hair and purple shampoo etc. So as a newbie, I found the Martha Debayle hair line at Walmart. Love it. Leaves my hair manageable and light. The leave in shine conditioner is fabulous. Gets ❤from me.

We had all this. Thanks for what to do"in case of meltdowns in public. And husbands don’t always know what to do if mom is doing everything. Safety first -yes ( did that). However finding a place apart or allowing a meltdown in public takes some fancy footwork. First outline what may be encountered ahead of time. Social stories work with this. Then you need possibly a code word for a way to escape to work through the meltdown. Then get there.

I'm not sure if it's available where you are but there's a programme called Letterland which was specifically designed for Dyslexic children.

My daughter struggles with noice. It could be the doorbell ringing, shes absolutely terrified of the public restroom, she wouldn't sit on the toilet because she's afraid to hear the flush and the hand dryer so she would avoid the bathroom all together. It's so tough i try to hard to stay calm but sometimes i feel completely helpless and like im the only one dealing with this. I love my daughter more than anything in the world but it is such a hard thing to deal with.

Does this involve copy work? My daughter has auditory processing disorder so we are really trying hard to work on her auditory training.

My 4 year old, has issues with tight clothing, sometimes she throws hysterical fits. But other times she chooses to wear the clothes on her own, she is very stubborn and wants what she wants, it’s always her way or the highway. Does the sensory disorder, turn on and off? Or is it mood based? Or does it like build up, and eventually turn to a meltdown. Clothes that she likes today the next day she will hate. Even when giving choices, she just says no.

Thank you I held myself back from crying from relief we have been struggling for years and my son was recently diagnosed with sensory processing disorder and now after much advocating we are trying to to get help through it sensory diet and everything else but I definitely relate to this and it's a mix of feelings the hardest part of everything is when he goes to school how to get him the proper help I feel like it's so hard for them to simply understand the disorder and what he needs I have seen such a change in him since we started the sensory diet tools but still in beginning trying to learn what works and what does not we were having such a hard time with public school that I actually was going to pull him out this year and homeschool but then I thought his anxiety would get so much worse by avoiding the challenges so then I decided okay I'm going to try and advocate for him at school by getting the 504 try that out his teeth thinks he needs IEP to get better accommodations and of course it hasn't been as simple as just requesting and receiving... I just wondering since he does do well with me what is truly in his best interest to homeschool or stay in district he love to be around others and wants to go but definitely struggling and come home totally with melt down when they call to Orson home a write-up more like seemingly small things and I'm kind of comparing it like wow that's really good that means he's doing his best to transition and you're seeing small interruptions but that's not even good enough because their expectations are much higher this seems like they're not understanding the diagnosis at all.

How do you deal with the church setting? We go to a large church, and our normal sitting area has about 12 children that gather around us every Sunday. I am a single mother and just learning about this.

As a child I can’t be the only person with this problem I have SPD and in our school on the register it says needs so like if someone needs a special colour paper or has a time out pass it’s on the register however on the register for me all it says it that I can wear ear defenders so for example yesterday in science I’m in a pretty big class and everyone was talking so it was loud and I had my ear defenders on but it was still quite loud with like over 20 students talking at once and I was on the brink of absolutely bursting out crying but the teacher did nothing because they don’t understand there problem Teachers in my school care about 2 things first thing is if you’re in learning support and second thing is if it’s there probable if not they don’t care Also can I please have more opinions on this but do other schools have students with autism is learning support because autism is classed as a learning disability but there main problem is the sensory part yet people with SPD which is only sensory don’t get help unless the teacher decides to?

I do experience it. Bright lights... not on my face! And noises can be super overwhelming. Some just drive me up the wall. Certain aesthetics really get under my skin too. I tend to hide/throw away anything that bothers me. It took me years to hear about it. I thought I was just weird.

Did you find that one lesson was about 90 minutes long? That's what their website says, but we would be doing it as a stand alone so unsure if I should schedule 1 lesson a week or 2 lessons a week.

Hello! My child refuses to put a jacket on when it's really cold. She says it's uncomfy for her. We tried dozens of jackets and coats! Nothing works! No hats,no socks, no gloves, no jackets for her in the world. What should I do? Let her stay at home, not to go to school? I'm so frustrated!
