unfortunately 6 axis mills are pretty large

Shayn Webb who cares. You can build half the other crap that you wouldn’t be able to bring because of the weight.

@@Mad.Man.Marine you would need a mining facility and a refinery too
@domesday15353 жыл бұрын
@@spacedoge3508 usually systems fail at a single point which leaves you with 95% of a fully functional system sitting in a place like mars completely useless. Predicting that point of failure is often impossible so one system like this could have something like a mars rover last 80 years instead of 8 years with only a few kilos of welding wire sent with it from Earth. The issue is one system like this would only become worth it if it maintained multiple systems or rovers in an accessible area. Something plausible down the line but not currently. The truth is there will be machines like this on other planets before there are mining and refining facilities for metal, and these systems already being present is one of the reasons those mines will be built

@@domesday1535 These are not welding wires, it's metal dust pushed in and heated/radiated with laser beam in neutral gas shielding. whole diffrent technology here. It's similar to SLS 3D printing but much more sophisticated. And it's hundreds times easier to get metal dust, anywhere.

Kein ewiges Schruppen von zu großen Reststücken - einfach kleinere nehmen und den Flansch auflasern. Aufschweißen ist mit Lufteinschlüssen und eher nur für verkackte Passungen.

So this machine is using Directed energy deposition - DED -as 3D Printing method yes? and 5 axis CNC miling machine combined in a hybrid product, is that correct? What are the cost for one of these machines ? 300.000+ Dollars?

@trevorthieme51577 жыл бұрын
LOL There is only 4 seconds of animation! 0:14 - 0:17 It is easy to see that everything is real. This is all the more true if you have welded or worked with robots to ANY degree. It is easily possible. The hardest thing about the process is programming the robot to move properly in patterns without bumping into another part of the build, overheating the part, or outright melting the part by welding on 1 place too long.

How to resolve powder clogging inside nozzle? what may be the possible causes?
@mortkebab28497 жыл бұрын
Perhaps a slight, similar charge on nozzle and powder to keep the powder away from the inside wall, and an opposite charge on the workpiece to attract the stream of powder.
@stanleyking5976 жыл бұрын
welding gas amps /volts/ travel speed how fast metal is fed to work/also type of gas/ pressure of gas all this comes into play here but don't let this fool you the damd nozzle will get clogged up after some time of use /either clean or change that's all

I am a welder of 36 yrs the kind of technology that's gonna keep us from eating if we don't try to update our selves this is what is coming at us rapidly whether we like it or not it is scary I know future welding tech is moving dangerously fast BY the way Believe its not durable the technology is just one of the many 3d printing CNC technologies IT will eat everyones bread if we ALL do not update ourselves so sad but true like it or not do you know how many jobs will be lost due to this technology?! NOW for my welding experience :: stick3g 4g 6gr some pressure pipe xray ut bend strp nick stainless 7018 mild steel monel nickel get my point yet short arc pulse arc all this XRAY pulse CNC heliarc teacher at TH HARRIS TECHNICAL COLLEGE OPALOUSIS LOUISIANA WHERE SOMEOF THE BEST WELDERS IN THE WORLD COME FROM not being smart claudia33 if we don't learn now technology will take over after heat treatment it will let me say will be as strong or weak/brittle as they want for the application as they need /as procedure calls for no stronger no weaker I HOPE this helps you on your road to understanding this new technology in its infancy it will just be improved upon GOOD LUCK Claudia 33
