I remember first hearing this 10 years ago discovering it on StepMania. Absolute nostalgia.

I would love to hear a remix of this track, especially one that expands on the last half! This track gives me chills every time I hear it, and is probably my favorite of Hybrid's entire discography. The subtle tones from the samples from James Horner's Aliens score really add to the first half, and the lush and voluminous second half is unsettling and inspiring.

Sounds like a 007 soundtrack. Just makes me want to sneak into the evil villains secret hideout. Takeout the guards and overthrow the nuclear weapons mainframe. Even the end of the song sounds like 007 was caught and knocked out before being tied up in the villains evil hideout.

it goes to RIGHT into the next song without a very abrupt but imperceptible transition. its only obvious because here the next track (I'm Still Awake) doesn't load straight away

By abrupt I mean that the track doesn't end after an multitude of 16 bars that is intuitive in the case of tracks with a 4x4 structure (the last part ends after 6x16 bars, not 8x16 bars). Also it would have been better for the whole track if the last part had any build down before it ended the way it does now, the track deserves the least, now it is just killed. And I've heard the transition to the next track on better sources than youtube, that's not what i ment. But still it's a great tune!

When the tracks are recorded as two seperate tracks, then how do you expect someone to "cut-off" the end of the track? The track doesn't "end". Like the other person says it has a transition, and I love how you're sticking to "norms" of tracks. Wow, a single track ends differently! Gosh! What a shocker!

+Leah Carter There are so damn many genres and "pseudo"-genres for electronic music nowadays that it's hard to determine exactly. I guess *Psychill* and *Trance* are pretty close. *Hybrid* tends to be in a category of it's own in some ways. Fits the name.
@izzywalker4719 жыл бұрын
+Leah Carter With electronic music first listen to the beat, kick.. snare,,,,,,,,kick snare. At this tempo that's breakbeat. These guys do mostly symphonic/Cinematic styles of Breakbeat with a lot of variance and movement into other styles as well (trance, etc). This song is definitely a slowed down breakbeat track.
@codykhaos49878 жыл бұрын
This is Hybrid, they're their own genre. You cant pigeon-hole these guys, they're too epic...
