This or the base engine gas version..😊1.6 turbo on this size vehicle? Toyota has a 2.5 ..so just wondering if a loaded sorento can perform with this engine and any reference towards its reliability

The new engines are much more efficient and smaller than older ones. As far as reliability, time will tell. I like both engines but for me personally 2.5 would be the choice, but if you drive a lot Hybrid will make more sense.

I don't know who created the myth that you need AWD in wet weather or even snow. The rubber compound of the tire is likely more important.

You dont need to, but it feels better and safer when 4 wheels get the power.

Big difference between front wheel drive and all wheel drive in the snow. All season or snow tires
@AaronCarp3 ай бұрын
@@nathanielwilson1899 For sure, there is a difference. I'm talking about the narrative that everyone needs it, we don't. We all got around fine for decades without it. It's that narrative, along with others, that is pushing the price of cars up, reducing choice, and reducing the inventory of affordable or smaller vehicles.

@@AaronCarp if you live in the North East like I do,the difference between rear wheel drive,front wheel drive, AWD is remarkable. I’ve gone through all of them. You can’t beat AWD with proper tires in a winter storm. With that said a big nor’easter will keep any vehicle off the roads. Where I live front wheel and AWD rule. If you live where you get zero to no snow you don’t need AWD. I thank GOD for the technology in these new cars. Radar,lane assist,cruise control. The only thing I dislike is the move to low profile tires. They are a money trap. Low wear and very susceptible to damage from potholes.
