Hybrid Parameters or H parameters
Let us consider a network containing a large number of linear elements (both active or passive) shown by a black box in fig. In this circuit input voltage and current are shown by v1 and i1 while output voltage and current are shown by v2 and i2. Currents at the terminal are considered as positive inwards the input and output voltages v1 and v2 are considered positive from the upper to the lower terminals.
The parameters which relate the four variables of the two port system are called hybrid parameters.
