He and his original band (L'arc en ciel) is absolute legend. Fyi, i love The Beatles, Radiohead, Nirvana, Avenged Sevenfold, MCR, Linkin Park, Cold Play, Jamiraquai, Eminem, Dream Theater, RATM, SOD, Korn, etc. And I could assure you, L'arc en ciel is one of the greatest band in the world (my top 3). Listening to their music is really a colourful journey.

Japan has always been underrated when it came to rock imo, as someone who has been listening to jrock for 10+ years. Glad it’s becoming more popular around the world!

Thats what I was saying! I just found him and damn she changed my life💜 he does look damn good for 51😍
people saying this is too old of a sound to work nowadays and I'm here thinking "FINALLY!!! some good stuff coming back! I can't handle the new age sound..." apparently I never got older from my preteen/teenager's tastes I don't care if it's "old" its good , and I love it! keep up the great work Hyde-san , and Hyde-san's team!!

I saw him live, touring with Starset last year late October. He had quite a few fans that were younger, so Hyde's style definitely works!

I figured more americans would already know of LeC from their teenage anime days but I'm glad more people are discovering Hyde because he's honestly underrated! I have a been a fan of Hyde since his old days on L'arc en ciel in end of 90's , but i came here because " Abroad in Japan ", thanks Chris to remind me of the legendary man and historical figure that inspired many young Japanese J- Rock star that we know today.

Mighty Hadi same! I somehow lost touch when Hyde goes into other projects like Vamps and the music is a little too heavy for my taste. (Although there are some really nice ones like Vampire’s Love) Thanks to Chris I am back to revisit some of my favorite songs of Hyde and his new solo album

Who's gonna save us is the first single as Hyde solo project after a long period with VAMPS. Something I appreciate of him is the fact he always tries to reinvent himself, and comparing to his other solo works you can notice his search for a new sound and new ways of making music. As an overseas fan, even though I love his Japanese songs, I also appreciate his attempt to approach a different music market writing English lyrics. Keep it up Hyde! :D

Before discovering Hyde on the Abroad in Japan video with Chris Broad, I was already listening to such Japanesee artists as World Order, GARNiDELiA, Dako, the Yoshida Brothers, and Tatsuro Yamashita. But when Chris announced his video, " I Spent a Week with Japan's Biggest Rock Star, " I knew that I just had to watch it. I've been following Chris' KZbin channels since September of 2018 and I really enjoy his work. But this video was moe than I was expecting. It completely blew my mind away. I was surprised when Chris mentioned that he was the only Japanese artist to preform at Madison Square Garden. As the video progressed, I got a sense that Hyde was this great man who loves what he does and the fans that support him. He seems to be a really down to earth person as well with his interview with Chris. His music is what really got to me in this video. I've been listening to Japanese music since the early to mid 1990s from the Anime that I watch, but over the past two years I've grown to like current and past artists. For me, Hyde represents a sound that I hadn't discovered until this video. For me, Hyde has a Heavy Metal feel to his music and that's a sound that's been a part of my life since the late 1970s when I discovered such bands as AC/DC and Black Sabbath. I follow Hyde on Facebook, Twitter and KZbin. It's really hard to pinpoint a song that I like more than another. To me they're all great. I must confess that while listening to Hyde on KZbin, a recommendation for another group appeared on KZbin for me and I had to give them a listen to as well. That group is Band-Maid. But that's a story for another time. LOL.
“WHO’S GONNA SAVE US” Lyrics : Broken hearts and battle scars From the shadows, here we are Fallen angels in disguise Waiting for the right time We've got our backs against the wall We'll stand our ground and we won't fall Fighting to be who we are Waiting on the front lines Hands up It's going down Let me hear you say it Right now It's going down If we lose it all tonight Who's gonna save us, tonight Who's gonna save us [Woh] Who’s gonna save us Broken promises and lies There will be no compromise Long as we are side by side We won't be defeated This is it, our time is now Rising up and screaming out If we can't bend the laws they make Then we will have to break them Hands up It's going down Let me hear you say it Right now It's going down If we lose it all tonight Who's gonna save us, tonight Who's gonna save us [Woh] Who’s gonna save us And on the darkest night Before the break of light If we don't stand and fight Who's gonna save us
