Do ANY of you folks out there believe that Eddy Van Halan could EVER in a MILLION DECADES get Either version of Van Halan back together, LET ALONE get Dave, &&& SAMMY together on the same stage, @ the SAME TIME??? ALICE NOT ONLY gets the ENTIRE surviving ORIGINAL band to come play, BUT! He gets his INCREDIBLY TALENTED NEW Band, & his ICONIC LIFE-LONG BEST FRIENDS to (obviously) ENJOY THEMSELVES PLAYING TOGETHER as ONE! To have BOTH Drummers, & Bassists together is not only GENIUS, but STUNNINGLY precise to boot.... IS THERE a BETTER ROCK SHOW on EARTH??? & HERE'S the KICKER! ALICE has been an "A-LIST" DRAW SINCE BACK WHEN ELVIS PRESLEY WAS STILL ALIVE, & SKINNY..... THANK YOU ALICE, for PROVING that we've ALL got a LOT more miles in us than we ever thought possible.... You TRULY ARE, the FOREMOST Ringleader/showman/Rock singer EVER, & evidently, the best DIPLOMAT to BOOT...

Agree fully! No one else could have pulled this off, and no one else has influenced / changed the face of music as much as Alice Cooper. I've seen him 9 times now (including the infamous Welcome to my Nightmare in Vancouver) and have NEVER been disappointed. A huge thank you for this!

Rob Scenity right. Alice was the first of the extremely theatrical stage shows, even before Kiss came along wearing make-up. Alice had already been there years before. Alice was also the original dark theatrical rock act, paving the way for the Marilyn Manson and others more recently. All of these young fans of Manson and the other dark musicians need to see an Alice Cooper show to see the root of it all. Parents all believed he was a devil worshiper and evil, when it was all just entertainment, no different than a horror film. It’s weird how people have no problem with a horror film, never believing that the actors or directors are worshipping Satan, but do it live on stage to rock music and you must be in bed with the devil. Well, Alice was the first to take that hit, making it easier for those who followed

It would be like KISS doing a full on reunion with all former members except Eric Carr.

@@RoarOfWolverine - When KISS was first starting out and their record company had a big party in LA to celebrate the release of their first album, Alice Cooper was there, and jokingly said to them, "You guys need a gimmick."

So, I was just minding my own business, watching videos of Alice Cooper (Michael, Glen, Alice, Dennis, and Neal) as usual, when what to my wondering eyes should appear but a video proclaiming to be those guys playing together this very night - May 14, 2017! hydearchives, Thank God for you, and Alice Cooper! I can now die happy, having seen the greatest American rock and roll band play together again. I love those guys - and you, hydearchives, are spectacular for bringing this high-quality video to all of us, practically as it happened! Even if Alice Cooper drove a stake through the heart of the love generation, I wish you peace and love ~ Cherie D

I heard this one the radio the other day, and was hoping to find a vid of the original band from 1972 era. I'd always felt it was a shame that they drifted away so completely. So, this is a happy coincidence. Had always loved that original bass line. To be Glen Buxton is gone, his guitar intro was a classic.

So good to see Mike, Dennis and Neal working with the Coop again! Uncanny how such a wild song can off so 'together' with all those people playing at once! Terrific!

To Blondago56: The concert featured a great band. Nita Strauss was awesome on lead. For several songs near the end of the concert, his original band backed him, then they and the other musicians joined him for the School's Out grand finale. A great concert all in all--you should have a great time.

Michael Bruce was responsible for the only Progressive Rock song that Alice Cooper’s original band recorded and my favorite song of all Cooper’s songs, Halo OF flies. A shear masterpiece it is. I read that Bruce wrote it because someone said they couldn’t write any technically difficult progressive rock songs, like King Crimson. Bruce sure proved them wrong with Halo Of flies. There are so many time signature and key changes in that song to make it one of the best prog/rock songs ever, rivaling anything from King Crimson and even at the level of the masters of prog/rock, RUSH. The only sad part about Halo is that they broke up soon after the Killer album and never made anything like it again. My understanding is the break up had a lot to do with that. Bruce wanted to continue to make more complex music, like Halo Of Flies, but Alice wanted to concentrate more on theatrical trickery and less on music composition, at least composition at that level. I like Alice’s theatrical stuff because it is historically significant in the evolution of rock music. It opened the door for future bands to explore this avenue, but on the other hand, I really love Halo Of Flies and wish they could, have made several more prog/rock song before breaking up. If Halo Of Flies was Bruce’s first attempt at prog/rock, I would love to hear what he could have come up with after having some more experience with the genre. Could have been magnificent. There are so many bands who have done covers of Halo, at least proving to me these young musicians can still recognize the genius of the piece. Since Prog/Rock has typically been the musician’s music, never faring well in the mainstream marketplace, I find it predictable that even modern musicians would be in love with Halo Of Flies enough to make a cover of it. My favorite cover is one performed by Meliah Rage. They brought Halo to a new level of kick-ass guitar, bass and drums using modern processing and it proves just how well written the song was, and far ahead of its time. Once recorded with modern processing, it rivals any prog/rock stuff recorded today and in my opinion surpasses most of what passes for prog/rock today. Too bad Meliah Rage couldn’t have Alice sing the vocal track, just for nostalgia. They made the song completely metal with very powerful, compressed guitars and it would have been great to hear Alice singing to a much more balls-to-the-walls metal version of his song. The Melvins also have a cover of Halo which is pretty well-known, but I still think that Meliah Rage’s version blows the Melvins away. Just MHO.

I saw welcome to my nightmare TWICE when I was 11. I knew even then at a young age I had been born too late and missed something extraordinary by not seeing Neil Smith, Glenn Buxton, Dennis Dunaway and Michael Bruce along with Alice.

When I was a kid, my dad would sing this little ditty to me and my brothers on the last day of school: School's out, school's out Teacher let the bulls out No more pencils No more books No more teacher's dirty looks So about a year ago, completely out of the blue, my dad drops in casual conversation that he went to school with Alice Cooper. I didn't believe him, so I did a little research, and they're about the same age, and they both would have attended Nankin Mills Middle School in Westland MI in the late 50s. I'm convinced little Vincent learned that ditty while a student there and turned it into this incredible song.
