Yes, there are hotels there. In case you want to see the morning Bhasma Aarti its recommended to stay in Ujjain

We stayed in omkareshwar and in Indore. From indore we had a day trip to ujjain and we came back to indore in the evening. Omkareshwar: Hotel Manyavar Palace(rooms are little small but walkable distance to temple) Indore: Hotel Ambassador. Both the hotels were good at a prime location.

What is best route as of now? From Hyderabad via bhopal to Ujjain? Or nanded route please suggest
