I wonder if there would ever be a point where they would consider splitting a card that had 2 identities into 2 different cards. Would be interesting to see both versions of Thaddius as options. Maybe they could do a similar thing for renathal which would allow a 35 health version for standard and a 40 health version for wild.

Martian, first off, thank you for doing these reverts, I love them to death cause I like thinking of what could be. To that point, I'd really like it if you considered the cards outside of meta aspirations. For example, I'm glad you went with "Watermark" on Order in the Court, but I think it's misleading to say it's a Nerf when it only affects one deck (or if you consider it a package) or one aspect. In 99.9999999% of decks, it's a buff. So I"d like to see it in more than just that. Again, it's your opinion, but it would be good for you to at least acknowledge it in that context as well. It wasnt widely played in Wild before the change and it was once it was changed. Sure, for decks that werent really getting played its a buff, but I think that just goes without saying. Thanks for watching

Ok hear me out. Fully revert Switcheroo BUT make the minions only switch stats for one turn so that you have to play a minion the same turn for it to keep the stats. It should function in a way that once you play one of the two the stats are changed permanently for both so that nothing weird happens.

I never hated Denathrius, but I HATE Astalor. With Denathrius you have to build your deck in a certain way to get him improved (even if it's not that punishing to do, but you still have to work for it) but with Astalor you just put him in a deck and you get a wincon with no meaningful setup or deckbuilding to get the pay off. I am still tired of games ending with Astalor, but I never hated Denathrius ending games

I think 4 mana Theotar would very likely overstep, but I still wanna see them at least try it. If they don't bravely push for 4 mana though, I really, really want Theotar to go to at least 5. I feel like 5 mana Theotar really didn't have enough time to settle and once Denathrius got nerfed had it stayed at 5 I bet Theotar would've gone down in playrate even without the 6 cost change. In wild most good combo decks are active by the turn 6 mark, so having Theotar able to come down on turn 5 actually might make a difference. It will definitely increase his presence like you said (which can be frustrating) but also quest mage having to play against Theotar more often makes me very happy lol

i would like a twist season to explore this, but realistically not many decks can compare with big shaman/rogue and darkest hour warlock and once people realise this most will drop that format. I'd still play it just to play apm mage again

Any revert to shockspitter scares me because of its potential additional burst in a reno hunter list. Trueaim crescent, rinling's rifle, hope of quel'thalas, plus any generated copies of shockspitter held in hand from selective breeder or devouring swarm or other cards can give some crazy damage over the top if you choose to go with that line throughout the game

Theotar, how about 5/4/4 but the card you discover from yheir hand costs (5) or less? Most combo pieces are less than (5) to get them out quickly, but it still means opponent gets to keep their big, greedy cards like denathrius while their brann can be seized

Brann Anub'Rekhan Astalor requires less mana to pull off (assuming you spent 2 mana on the initial Astalor prior).

I think a full revert of everything would be insanely fun in the short term but disastrous long term. So how about a twist season? Would definitely be interesting and a lot of people would watch/play. And it would probably be good for blizzard since people would spend money/dust to recraft previously nerfed cards. The biggest problem I see is how they would deal with having 2 different versions of cards

Order in the Court should be reverted. One deck, that most people aren't going to enjoy facing isn't worth keeping around when the card isn't going to see play in any other deck really isn't worth it

Even though I'm running Renathal Excavate Rainbow DK in Standard rn I'm mostly an aggro player and the only decks I would consider running in Wild are stuff like Mech Mage/Discard Warlock/something along those lines, so the Renathal revert would only make it worse for me, but I feel like we should definitely have it come back at 40 health 40 cards

There was definitely a 5th tier hiding amidst the "definitely good"s, namely "this doesn't move the needle at all." Like if School Teacher gains 1 attack, it changes nothing about the card, so whether it gets un-nerfed or not, it doesn't matter.

Vengeful walloper should be in the probably good tier. That deck needs to be a bit more oppressive now. The tony rework/nerf took away a wincon for that deck. Druid has poison seeds all the mana cheat in the world, Mage has ice block, solid alibi and plenty of boardfreezes, shaman still has flurgle + tox, ... The deck honestly is kinda fair. It wins with stats on board but none of it has charge so your opponent will allways get a turn to try and awnser it. It's really just a slower miracle rogue with smaller statted minions. But that's about the only card i have strong feelings for that's in the wrong tier. I am however deeply dissapointed that there was no watermark option for twitchchat when they got to judge marshie at the end.

@@professorryze3739 I mean it would be fine if that was the case but it isn’t right now and card draw is next in line after mana cheat in terms of power level. Shaman has actually really good card draw (Murloc package, Overload package and actually quite a few more only Frog got gutted). Priest has by far the worst card draw and actually not that many very powerful mana cheat options (Shamans best draw option, the murloc package, has actually both things combined so it‘s a prime example of how much worse Priest’s options are).

I need valisj back in my dragon soul priest. Also 80% of decks I make use renathal, I am in for a revert! Also unpopular opinion. But I like the theotar effect. I really enjoy the fact that you can answer an opponent who have the option to kill you in a single turn. Theo at six is probably fine, but id rather have him at 5. That being said, if other anti otk tools are printed that are less "feel bad" then I would be perfectly fine with it. Granted combos right not don't happen before 6 usually, so again I don't mind at six. Renathal + theotar did carry my addiction to stupid value, and with rena at 10+ hp I think it will be enough for me.

I think we all like the aspect of hitting combo decks which you can't stop otherwise unless you kill them. However, What I don't like is every other deck being collateral damage of Theotar like Marshy's example with Bloodreaver Gul'dan.

Bloodreaver would have been dead anyway. But I get what you mean. That said, it does lead to more greed so you still have tools to win even though you lost one strong card. Is that the direction the community want the game to go? Probably not, so theo at six is probably for the best despite my personal feelings on it.

Theothar to 5 is fine. Thoughtsieze happens in magic all the time and is fine. And it happen so early that you can't do anything about it and often when it happens late game you don't do anything about it.

Magic is a very different game that plays with 4 copies of a card, allows graveyard recursion, and lets you respond to things before they resolve. These effects have very different impact on these separate environments.

This does make sense Marshi. I never really got mad at Theothar especially at 5 or 6 so yeah maybe he should stay at 6. But i also don't get mad at thoughtseize even in MU's where you don't have access to the graveyard and that card is virtually gone same as in HS but they are a lot of people that hate thoughtseize so i can really see your point. I've been playing theothar and he feels good to play too (In slower mu's ) @@MartianBuu

@dielabtec7882 Its okay to like Theotar, want him back at a lower cost and just because having him played against me in most games makes me have less fun doesnt mean everyone feels the same. 👍 I just dont think a card being fine in magic means a similar card is fine in hearthstone.
