Hydra will be specific for dapps to utilize, can also be used for a fast payment system etc. It'll be open for different use-cases. Cardano is scaling in many different aspects: we've got scaling on the L1 in the works with Leios, we also got scaling with L2s like Midgard, we've got Hydra (Gummiworm), then partnerchains and DA layers like Sky Protocol. It's all coming together so whatever the use-case requires it will be possible on Cardano.

@@jonathanlivingston7358 Different tech stacks have different pros and cons, so depending on the use case.. different scaling solutions may suite them better. 1 million tps can be done through the doom game on hydra.

​@@jonathanlivingston7358 It's a proof of concept on what it can do. Up until this doom event, 1M tps is just on paper. Now it checks out. Why doom? Currently, there's not an app or enough "active" users that cares to stress test the hydra protocol. So its brillant they did it with a game where every fps is a transaction. Even VISA just use on average 20k transaction / sec.
