Coming from an esthetician this is probably the most realistic and worth it facial I have seen you get. Mostly everywhere you go is go gimmicky and won’t help your face in the long run but every thing she did on you will actually help you skin!

I agree with her on the oils. Eat your oils and that will really make your skin and hair healthier. Since I have been eating a lot more olive oil, nuts, seeds, and full fat yogurt I have seen a difference in my skin (glow and plumpness) and I have a lot more baby hairs coming in!
@iyslaalicecastelo53595 жыл бұрын
Me too! Avocado and nuts/seeds I can’t live without! All the healthy fats are def great for skin health, just be sure not to consume saturated/trans (unhealthy + artery clogging).

I don’t know about others but I use oils morning and evening and it has never clogged my pores. Beautiful raw unrefined oils carry plant compounds and antioxidants and if you use the right oils they don’t break you out or cause clogged pores.

Why would you put eye cream/serum on after a face moisturiser and sun cream?? Thinnest product to the thickest is the correct way to do it. Also moisturiser and sun cream should be applied separately... moisturiser absorbs the sun cream doesn’t, it only protects! Anyway only my opinion.

That was so relaxing! I didn't realize that watching someone get a facial is relaxing until earlier this year. She was very knowledgeable and I liked hearing her thoughts on applying face oil. I used to do rosehip oil but I've switched to jojoba oil and am wanting a good eye cream. I'm wanting to know what the last that she said the LED light helps with?

Gloves prevent bacteria from therapists hands getting into the client’s open pores, and it also protects the therapist’s hands when they’re using professional grade products multiple times a day. Therapists who use less active products or do less facials may choose not to wear gloves

As an esthetician you use medical grade product that can be harsh on the palms of your hands and it can peel them and begin to burn from personal experience. Your doing multiple facials a day with a that cleansing and exfoliating imagine how harsh that is so that and it’s also better to prevent transfer of bacteria and it’s just overall better than your own hands because of sanitation

Jes Doh by wearing gloves all of the products are penetrated into the clients skin and or absorbed into the Esthetician’s hands. Some States it’s also a requirement

@ShuntriciaAddison4 жыл бұрын
As an esthetician, it is for protection for your and the esthetician. People, including therapists, may have skin conditions that could compromise your health or other people's health. We touch so many faces and body parts including genitals daily, so wearing gloves, we get used to feeling through the gloves. When I was in school, that was a challenge for me because I like to touch the skin without the barrier until I realized that we can contract and spread a lot of diseases.
@dokidoki7194 жыл бұрын
Shuntricia Addison Why would you touch other people’s genitals? Waxing?
@ShuntriciaAddison4 жыл бұрын
@@dokidoki719 yes. Estheticians treat skin so any place that has skin can have a condition treatable by an esthetician.
@michiestanley4 жыл бұрын
I agree, I would never have a facial if the therapist was wearing gloves, that's would be horrible, feeling that rubber on your face, total no no for me, not to mention it would make me feel like I had a contagious disease... If the therapist has washed her hands properly that is enough to keep things hygienic. I've had hundreds of facials and I've never had someone using gloves on me. I could not even watch this video till the end because it made me so uncomfortable watching those gloves gliding on her face. That said, I love all Susan's videos since I am such a huge fan of facials and spa treatments.
@ShuntriciaAddison4 жыл бұрын
@@michiestanley most diseases and bacteria don't present themselves until much later. Washing any body part is often not enough when pathogens can enter unbroken skin such as staph, fungi, and viruses such as herpes or viruses that cause warts. As an esthetician, I was trained to not wear gloves all of the time until we got into learning about contagious diseases, things medical staff and cosmetologists, especially estheticians are more prone to contracting and spreading from client to client. You usually get used to it just like we get used to the feeling of wearing gloves for everyone's protection. We are taught to never assume someone is disease free as you can't see diseases, you see symptoms if they can even present themselves/symptomatic vs asymptomatic. Most ppl get viruses from asymptomatic people, meaning people who are contagious but don't show symptoms.
