Hydrasynth Firmware 2.0 - Bit Redux

Hydrasynth 2.0 is the latest update for the Ashun Sound Machines Hydrasynth, Hydrasynth explorer and Hydrasynth Deluxe.
BitRedux is a bit reduction feature in the oscillator section. This allows you to reduce the dynamic resolution of the oscillators to create new sounds on the Hydrasynth.

The multitude of ways you can distort a sound without even touching the mutants to mutate, or the effects to affect, or any modulations to modulate, turning the sound from a subtle pad or bell sound to a monster lead... This thing is phenomenal.

my desert island synth has just got better. Perhaps turn some of these into mod destinations? LFO/Env Step quantize, oscillator bit reduction would be amazing mod destinations, I think.

I second. Had an idea tonight to gradually turn a smooth pad into digital dirt and back; I took it for granted that BitRedux is modulatable. On the Prophet X it is, on the HS it isn‘t. Why?

This is really cool, but on a minor point of terminology... "redux" has a meaning of its own, and is not an ideal abbreviation of "reduction". It means "brought back", so it looks as if the feature "brings back" bits, which doesn't really make sense.

PLEASE, can you help me? I have had this Synth for 3 years ? I bought a new , high speed laptop to control the Synth. I CAN NOT Even get it to do the basics. Switch presets. I would be happy to just start with that. Instead of spinning the wheel. Brand new cord. I am missing one step somewhere. I am new to this. I have guitar processors that I can easily control with a laptop or tablet. Thank you very much.
