ASM Hydrasynth - a great synthesizer on some great classical piece of music from J. S. Bach. In the video you also find my ten reasons why I finally decided to get this amazing polysynth. In the jam I explore the MPE possibilities by mapping the four MIDI instrument tracks (violoncello, viola, violin 1, violin 2) to different MPE channels for individual MIDI modulation of voices. I hope you like my Air-interpretation - would be great if you subscribe! I wish you all some relaxed holidays and a good start into the new year - stay healthy and stay tuned!
MIDI Setup: Ableton Live 10 for Midifile playback & controller mapping, Python script for MPE channel remapping, enables pad pressure control of filters - separately for each voice, Faderfox EC4 for pan position and MIDI velocity control
Audio Recording: Ableton Live via Behringer XR18 direct input (pure Hydrasynth)
BTW In Greek legend Hydra is an ancient mythical beast with multiple heads. The number of heads varies from different versions of the legend, however, it approximately corresponds to the number of voices in Hydrasynth ;)
