I’ve always found Glycerin to be far superior to Hyaluronic Acid, at least for my skin. When I’m looking at a new product, personally I’m looking for Glycerin, Squalane, Ceramides, Cholesterol, Oils, Fatty Acids, etc. I see HA in the ingredients and I’m like “That’s cool I guess” 😂 During the HA craze the past couple of years…I did not understand the hype. I also find Polyglutamic Acid to be more effective than HA. After joint fb groups for people who have this and trying to figure out what works best for our thick skin that does not exfoliate, but builds up and is so uncomfortable many of us have found that using vegetable glycerin on our wet skin after a bath or shower is a miracle. Of course many of us have to exfoliate by sitting in a tub for 20-39 minutes and then use a hammon cloth to more easily scrub off the dead skin we can usually not get rid of. After that I go in with the glycerin oil with my skin still being wet or else it would just be too thick. Afterwards I use cerave SA to help my skin and to hold in the moisture from the glycerin

1:4 glycerin then water
@pinkiepie68804 ай бұрын
I've said it before but I love how you share more simple recipes or tout certain natural ingredients. Skin care doesn't have to be multiple serums or a 10-step routine. But whatever works for you. Sometimes that's going back to basics or using serums that contain multiple ingredients to target specific concerns. Not extras you don't need. I've had to overhaul my skin care routine multiple times just to find out what suits me best and when my skin is breaking out or irritated from certain product's ingredients, change of seasons, diet, etc I go back to using a gentle cream or soap free cleanser and a moisturizer that repairs the skin barrier with peptides and ceramides.

Listening to you, I abandoned my HA serum (BTW one of the cheapest, The Ordinary). And I could see my face turn in crocodile skin :( all the fine lines came out, my skin turned toilet papery.) So I turned back to using HA serum and my face thrives again :) So yes, there are skin types that NEED hyaluronic acid :)

I recently started using the glycerin/water mist and the aveeno serum and my skin is much happier, so thank you. I’m a former aesthetician and I admit to having been a product snob in the past and looking down on drugstore products.

Isn’t it funny how she only talks about products… her skin is the result of far more than just skincare, if you catch my drift. I’ll help y’all out more than she has; your diet is HUGE for your skin, your hormones can cause skin problems like acne, and of course cosmetic treatments help. Please don’t fool yourself into thinking her skin is the result of anything she’s applying topically. I’ve worked in the cosmetics industry for years, and she has 💯 been getting lasers and injections. Hey I don’t knock her, she’s making a lot money. She sells skincare products so of course she’s not gonna be transparent with the viewers. Anyways believe me or not, but at least I have nothing to profit off this. 🤔
@Susan-xg7qn6 ай бұрын
maybe if you actually watched her videos you will know what procedures she has and does. She even talks about hormones.She rarely talks about her own products. She has never said she just does topically, so you clearly have never watched her, Ms cosmetic industry expert. lol.

I've always had beautiful skin, very sensitive and took very good care. Bought a face cream not realizing the ingredients had been Updated . Went thru a terrible time , skin eruptions , dryness , red , painful . Little by little I realized it was a reaction to the HA. It took 8 months for my skin barrier to heal. I've always been a label reader and focused on pure ingredients. It just has been added to so many products .
