Jacob, I put a Bob's manual Jack plate on my 1985 Skeeter. Still have the manual but wanting to go to a hydraulic but first I want to put hydraulic steering on my boat. I guess all new boats have the hydraulic steering system now. Never had trouble with my Bob's machine shop manual but would like to be able to adjust it for shallow water and top speed. 🎣🐟

I run a bobs... just got back from sturgeon bay and you better believe I was thankful I had the bobs, buried it down while out in the big stuff.

Since I fish exclusively in Florida a hydraulic jack plate was a given when I ordered my new nitro last year.

wheeler, is it worth it to get a jackplate put on my aluminum boat? It has an e-tec 50 and I only fish shallow out of it. I've been in the market for a while but wasn't sure it was worth it. Pools 6, 7 & 8 is/are my home body of water..

I run a manual plate on my 16' skiff. Originally did it for the added set back to counter some prop ventilation I had...it fixed that issue, and allowed me to use more trim. It also handles better, I can get in a little shallower water (not much) and rides through chop better because it transfers more weight towards the stern...well worth the $300. I ran a Vance manufacturing and I couldn't be happier through the whole process. Hope that helps.

I set it and forget it. Because if it's too high you get prop blow out when turning you lose trim abilities and bow rise and Top speed. And what's up with all the bots

Don’t think that big boat will get up in a foot and a half deep water. Love ya but that’s not accurate.
