2:17 hand cramps are semi common on tracks like waluigi pinball, merry merry mountain, and other tracks that have a ton of snaking in a row every lap

The moonview highway top route the wr does is actually optimal on any combo, and people use yoshi and daisy/peach for WRS bcs they have more traction and no meaningful stat disadvantages other than weight, which doesn't matter in tts if I'm not mistaken

On moonview highway I think the bomb kart are paced so the double shroom at the start is maybe to avoid said later in the race

I wonder why he skips the first boost panel after going around the first sharp right turn in the boost panel section on Moonview . He actually does a hop on all three laps that skips past the corner of the panel. It would seem like he would have a very slightly better time by allowing his back left wheel to hit it, but there must be a reason since it appears intentional.

Just to explain the new meta like you said it just made it more even. There is no new best combo just more combos that could be tied for the best. Great change imo more variety is always good. I think that tanooki and villager are probably the best character now but its so close it does not matter.
