Hi you can all so use Tamiya poly carbon spray witch works well and when you dip down put all the way in water do like you are skimming from the top and lift out

I'm curious to know how long this paint stuck to the body not being polyCarbonite paint. Lol me being a painter by trade I ha e experimented with different types of paint and even automotive paint won't stick to poly carb bodies. That cheap spray paint you just put on there didn't stick in my experience even with adhesion promoter. Non poly carb spray paint doesn't have flex additive in it and that's a big issue for a rc body

It didn't do too bad for racing. I wouldn't bash with it. The biggest problem I had was that I put too much velcro on the body and it held too well to the truck. I did end up pulling the paint off in a spot. I did that with a polycarb body too though.

@@CCxRC yeah I have see people get in wrecks at the track and paint fly off Lol. I used ppg auto paint on my sc10 body and without adhesion promoter it did the same thing.

First spray your clear lexon body with a base coat. Using these color choices, either the green or purple should’ve been sprayed for a lighter base. Not doing multiple coats. Just laying a light coat. Still letting the clear show through. And 2nd you want really COLD WATER !!!! Warm water keeps it from letting the paint turn into a sheet of film. 3rd have a big enough water container for dipping your prodject. 4th I don’t do as deep into the water barely the depth of the actual body herself

I'm glad to see this coming back we did this back in the 80s and it was kind of neat but I'm more of a one color paint job on my truck but it was fun experimenting and playing around we did it on glass on the inside and sold them in yard sales people went crazy for that stuff the flower vases sold real good

I didnt know you could hydrodip any spraypaint. I thought it had to be alcohol based paint. So i learned something today.
