I used an old well driller in my area that has had a very succesfull buisiness for years in western Pa. He has both rottary and cable tool rigs. He told me he always uses the cable tool rig to develop the water pocket in the aquafer because the rotary drill pluggs up the aquafer. He told me over half of his business if reastablishing failed water wells drilled with rotary drills. He drilled mine at 250ft in 1995 . Cased it to 100ft with steel casing then dropped a plastic casing inside of the steel with a seal between the 2 casings and drilled holes in the sides of the bottom 2 plastic casing pipe lengths to prevent cave ins on tbe pump. I use it to fill swimming pool , house supply , barn supply. No iron at all and no issues.

Very informative video....Those relatively Low pressure fluctuations seem kinda strange....As you know, being in Close proximity to all that metal during a rain, lightning can seemingly Strike unpredictably & everyone have a Bad day....A lightning risk Mitigation technique is Tune an AM radio (Car, truck etc) at either end of tuning range to a vacant Dead spot with lots of smooth Hiss listening for erratic timed loud Crackles....You will instantly Hear, at light speed, any Inter-cloud pre-Lightning discharges within a few miles or more....Kinda like a handy effective "Early Warning lightning Detector" of sorts.....Takin blind sketchy Risks with lightning strike aint worth it....

Our county has a 2 or 5 acre (don't remember) minimum for a house to have its own well with septic. Some rural subdivisions have neighborhood water wells or even private water companies.

They sell bigger versions of that pump system on iron planet auction site, 15K psi up to 40K psi with diesel engines used in gas and oil fracking, you can find pretty good deals on them when the big companies are done with them. I want a 30K unit to convert to a hydroblasting unit. Its pricey the hose and gun kits start at $10-15K each Gardner-Denver make the pump units

@@h2omechanic , 34... I remember that age, the strength, vigor & resilience, where did time go... Still, there's no time like the present to begin taking better care of your joints. Obviously strengthening and flexibility exercises help along with a proper diet of protein etc., after all the muscles/ligaments help support the bones and joints. I had tried a glucosamine/chondroitin supplement for a short time to help with some of the aches and pains. But doing like @Salty Buckeye suggested helped the most. Just take it easier on those joints whilst remaining active, good footwear is important and apart from hereditary degenerative conditions, you should heal up. Enjoy the videos btw, it's an interesting aspect of wells I never knew about. My dad's old place actually had a well large enough you could fall into but it was capped after it was determined to be "contaminated". The shallow well we used all of those years was less than 100'. It would only begin to "run dry" when mom was doing laundry in the separate utility building.
