"Hydrocity," to me, has always seemed not like "hydro city," but instead one of those words you use to describe an attribute of something. Like, "Hey what's up, Paul?" "Nothing, just measuring the hydrocity of this plutonium."

Cameron Campbell because people said "hydro city" instead of " hydrocity"

And they fixed it in Generations in the Sound Test menu, it's spelled Hydro City. So SEGA fixed their own mistake and it's Hydro City now.

At the risk of sounding like an English major with my fly down, I should probably bring up Sega's stance on the Hydrocity pronounciation. During a preview of Seaside Hill Act 1 from Sonic Generations, Aaron Webber said that Hydrocity is officially pronounced "Hydro-city", not "Hy-drawcity". I was in the "Hy-drawcity" camp myself before that video was uploaded, but Sega has spoken, so I pronounce it Hydro-city now, even though it's hard overwriting years of pronouncing it the other way. (I can't find the video, but it was uploaded by one of the major gaming news KZbin accounts. I remember they talked about Cash Cash adding Endless Mine to City Escape's classic theme as well.)
