Thanks all you guys who dig it, especially to the OP for posting this video, all these songs are going to be on my album which will come out late next month or early january :) Also, I completely agree about the name needing changing, whoever can suggest me a great name will be blessed with great sex everyday for the rest of their life!

@kurukq I guess you both aren't aware of the current status of this band. This Band is now known as Skyharbor and their debut album will be released this in a few weeks. And this particular song is out and has Vocals and features guitar solos. Search for Skyharbor - Celestial. Or just find it in the related videos. Worth giving a listen. Cheers

it is sick all its own. But you hear music differently tripping. you catch each note on its own as a singularity, each one distinguishable from the next, all at the same time. Then sometimes the music gets down into your other senses and you can literally see and feel the ambiance building around the rest. its like a 3-D universe composed of sounds and your there to witness the birth of of a whole new reality from the inside of someones head coming out of your speakers.

i never saw one mention of someone saying you need drugs to enjoy music. i speak for myself when i say, YOU CAN ENJOY MUSIC IN ANY STATE OF MIND. i choose to enhance my state of mind with LSD. and if someone hasnt taken LSD and listened to music, they cannot compare their experiences to mine. thats like someone jumping off a curb and trying to compare it to felix baumgartners 120,000 foot skydive.

music is a powerful thing either way. I just choose to enhance my experience because i hear my favorie music in a way ive never listened to it before, and its like hearing it for the first time again. Then i get to see the story created by the music again in my head, in a new way. and the music doesnt get into your soul and bond with you, you go into the music. into the musicians head. and your so involved you can touch, taste, and see every single note as it comes out of the speakers.

@OverlordOfHydro I like the new name. I'll be watching you! Just liked it on facebook and found that you posted a quote about your project that calls djent a sub-genre though. [“Brainchild of Indian guitar ace Keshav Dhar, this musical powerhouse is a heart pounding contribution to the poly-rhythmic low-end sub-genre of metal (known by name as ‘Djent’) rising in popularity over recent years. ”] I'll definitely becoming to see you if you make it to the east coast of the US. Good luck.

I also think it has something to do with the fact that it is much easier for one person to create their own vision of what music should be to them. Each band member will have their own view and their own separate input, making it rare to find a band who's ideas mesh into a great sound.

Of course you can choose to misinterpret something. People do that when they dodge questions or are uncomfortable with a topic. And c'mon-- you might be against drugs, but he was just sharing an experience. No need to hate.
@scrunner143612 жыл бұрын
Agreed. Most would consider a concierto conductor writing duet or quartet pieces to be talented. In a sense, Hydrodjent is doing composition while playing an instrument.

true. i just look at it differently. alot of people will say they dont like something because of programmed drums, and i think programmed drums can be really bad ass. its just another instrument and since its programmed you can do alot with them, like for instance you can change the tone and add whole new dynamics throughout the song. he has anup sastry drumming for him now anyways so me liking his programmed drums is kind of a mute point now haha

that is exactly the point. ive never been arrested, robbed or hurt anyone, ive never sold all of my shit or lost a house or car or anything. A persons inability to control themselves is what destroys lives. that goes for everything, not just drugs. If you cant control yourself, find something else to do. its that simple.
@koolsaqib12 жыл бұрын
Indeed mate. But you are missing Vishal J Singh. Not as famous as the other two, but if you're into tech metal he's the master of the genre. Amogh Symphony is the name of his band.

its flagged cause people are haters and are so afraid of opening their mind to something new they will do anything they possibly can to shut it, and anyone thats involved with it out. Its not their fault tho. once a mind is conditioned to think a certain way for so long, its hard to get that mind to bend in any other direction.
@slaughtered77713 жыл бұрын
@SkinUnzipper Me too! I personally prefer this to Skyharbor. Simply because i felt the vocals were a bit shout/bark cliche and were a nagging presence throughout. I love death metal style vocals, but i loved the music here being unaccompanied and left to itself.

@fauxnim no doubt. if you have never heard the band animals as leaders (which would kinda surprise me if you hadnt cause they are kind of a big deal these days) listen to them. not djent, but they are definatly intergalactic space metal from the future. nothing about that band is terrestrial.

That's right. I believe this is just Keshav Dhar (the guitarist and founder of Skyharbour) with a drum kit that he programmed. I much prefer the Hydrodjent version of Trayus. So much grittier than the Skyharbour remake. All brilliant stuff though

"ear for good melody" is the farthest thing away from what im explaining. I listen to music in states of consciousness you cannot even fathom, unless you have witnessed it yourself. Drugs arent for everybody and i can respect that. But i truly wish i could let people experience what i have because you will never be able to understand that what you think you hear as my experience, is only just the top 3 inches of peak on Mt Everest.

@aPOTg TIP FOR NEXT TRIP listen to this song (or song of choice) but make sure you download Electric Sheep for free first. it is basicly and acid trip without having one. so much mathematics and precision goes into how complex the patterns they make are... it's like dmt. and it can never repeat itself the same way again and is constantly evolving...trust me.. you will thank

RENAME HYDRODJENT TO "TABU" The word taboo (alternate spelling tabu) means a prohibition against using, approaching, or mentioning something because of its sacred and inviolable nature.

@aPOTg Look, its no big thing. I myself am just hearing this for the first time, its very well played and the guy is talented..its a good song. The drums however are not good, its always better with real drums. I find a lot of people defend a song or Band/Artist to the death regardless just because they are a fan. This song has a lot of good points, the drums are not one of those good points. It's not the end of the world or something to be offended by.
