I have found that there is a lot of confusion with regards to the function of the differential control on the triple aquastat's like the L8124A, C and many others. I finally decided to call Honeywell to get the real meaning of the differential setting. I ended up speaking to three different technicians before I finally spoke to a very smart lady, (she was the third tech), a Honeywell engineer who told me straight up exactly how the three settings work, with the three being the Hi Limit, the Low Limit, and the Differential. According to Honeywell, (and she said you can take this to the bank), the Hi Limit has a fixed 10-degree differential that cannot be changed and has no relationship with the differential knob on the aquastat. The differential knob only affects the low limit setting and works exactly like you explained it. Please let me know if I got her message incorrect. By the way, you did a great job of explaining the sometimes, confusing world of Honeywell Triple aquastat's, yours was one of the best that I've seen so far.

In an aguastat with just a high limit, if there is still a call for heat, the circulator remains running. As a matter of fact, the most efficient systems have continuous circulation with an outdoor t-stat to anticipate the need for heat.

I have an electric hot water tank, but my hot water furnace continues to come on winter and summer for a few minutes several times a day. How do I turn off the part of the furnace the heats the domestic without affecting the heating of my house? Thanks

Do you have any videos that would assist in wiring an aquastat to a zone control panel? Specifically, I'm trying to wire two zones together using a Taco SR502-4 to an L8148E aquastat.

I am updating my thermostat to a WIFI thermostat which it needs a C wire. From a L8148E what would be the C connection to hook up a wire to my new thermostat.

No C terminal on that aquastat. There is a transformer and if you are good at reading schematics you can figure out how to get a C connection but since it involves some minor "surgery" I don't feel right about posting on KZbin. But take a close look at the schematics.
