I threw all caution into the wind with my current grow. I completely chopped the top OFF and mainline the plant to grow one monster row of buds. About to harvest! I'll share the video for sure! Thank you for the advice, I will top at the 3rd from now on.

I’ve had sativas nearly 10ft high and yeah brother they’re thirsty especially in flower 😂 (outdoors) if ya worried about granny hit it with the chitosan now that’ll get the terps up! 😂💀 seriously though enjoy the journey i spent nearly 10 years with my best friend working on them. Hopefully I can find your follow up video on this because the flowers no offence seemed pretty small but I’m use to much larger plants, flowers as thick as a 2L coke bottle. When it gets heavy and thick watch that pm it’s about to get rough 😂

If so it's marginal. But I wouldn't be surprised because plants do grow faster in hydroponics gardens.

Fogponic question: I'm growing a couple of strawberry plants in a fogponic system. My plants have a solid dark-ish green leaves and firm steams. So from the top my plants look healthy. However, the roots are a mixture of white crisps roots (good), with some light brown or dark brown gooey roots (not good?). Some of the darker gooey material comes off with a rinse and/or with a Q-tip. Should I be concerned? Hypothesis: - I might I've had some root burn due to overfeeding? - My clay pebbles are still leaving dirt everywhere? - There was also some brownish material (algae like?) in my water/fertilizer solution at one point. - Lack of airflow. Should I add a fan on my system? Solution?: - Should I try to clean my plant with a mixture of water and peroxide?

Your "gooey Brown " roots that wash off with a rinse are actually root rot. My Hypothesis based on the information that you gave is this: Ultrasonic foggers heat up the water through ultrasonic friction, This can be avoided by running the fogger for shorter intervals. 1 min ever 5 min is a great interval or 15 min on followed by 30 min off should suffice. If you allow your fogger to fun all the time, it will heat the nutrient water above the recommended 83 degrees, this becomes an invitation for root rot. As for your clay pebbles, I use a 5 gallon bucket that I drilled several (like 25) small holes in. I then place my new clay pebbles in the bucket and flush them with a hose for about 10 min or until no cloudy water is coming out of the holes. The debris from the pebbles can raise your EC giving you a false understanding of your nutrient density. The brown stuff in your solution was likely a fungus growth that started on the fogger itself, once it becomes larger it is shaken off the fogger and into the water. This is a by product of a higher temperature in the water and is directly related to your mushy roots. Heat is a big struggle with fogponics due to the excessive heat created by the fogger. A larger chamber (so it takes longer to warm up) helps. But the real answer would be the addition of a Timmer. Hydrogen peroxide is a HUGE help with root rot, add as much as 30ml per gallon to fight it off. Be sure to use food grade H2O2, the other stuff has additives which are bad for the plant and the fogger. A fan would certainly help to move the fog across the surface and keep things cooler internally. Keep me updated, strawberries are hardy but they will begin showing signs of root rot soon enough.

@@humblegrowth I noticed a circle of brown gooey stuff re-appearing around my fogger not long after cleaning it, so I guess your hypothesis is spot on. I re-sanitized everything again and added a small amount of peroxide as you suggested. Not sure if it is food grade, but it's says 3% H2O2 with purified water, no additives. Is there hope for a plant with root rot? Is there a way to treat it once it's affected? I quarantined the most affected plants. I tested pruning the most affected roots (suggested by AI) and cleaning with peroxide and water. The test plants don't look to happy about my intervention and the steams have become droopy within the hour. Update: Never mind the droopiness, they're slowly getting back to normal.

@@busynessy798 There is certainly hope, if you treat the plants with your H2O2 (which sounds fine) and fix the heat issue with the fogger, you should begin to see new growth. Sounds like you caught it early enough to treat. If you haven't seen any yellowing or strange things with the leaves, then it is still early enough in the development to treat. The heat will also throw off your pH. and strawberries in particular are verry sensitive to this. If your pH. ever drops below 4.5 or above 9 you could experience nutrient lockout. This is where the plant "freaks out" and basically shuts down all non survival activities and completely stops taking nutrients in. Hot temperatures can cause water pH. leves to plumet toward acidic. You will want to strictly maintain a pH. around 6.0 for strawberries in hydroponics. Sounds like you are on the right track with your plants. Just keep the H2O2 coming until everything is gone then just do the weekly addition to the garden to keep things clean. trimming the roots is a good idea, but you will likely see this effect the plant up top. Don't worry though, your plant won't completely die. Certain leaves and stems may die off, but new growth will come in and take over. forming new, white, more mature roots.

i downloaded the guide that's above and wanted to follow along with the same grow but I'm gonna grow 2auto flowers in a tower garden flex with a couple sections removed so there's space for them to grow with a 645w led full spectrum light and add air stones in the reservoir. I'm trying to figure out the recipe from the guide what they would be in Ml per gallon has anybody used the guide or know the measurements

In DWC, my plants drink half a gallon a day in flower. You skipped training. If you grow in a tent, you have to train to keep it short enough for the tent. Your plant is too leggy, which is a problem with lighting.

She is drinking a gallon and a half a day right now! I defoliated twice and only topped off once, defiantly could have don't more, you're exactly right about training. First plant...Live and learn right, that's what this is all about. Thanks for the comments! appreciate the advice :)

Wow, 1 plant and so out of control. Cannabis is a weed. Best practice is to be brutal with the pruning and aggressive with the training. Reducing branches and foliage leaves all that extra energy going to where its needed. Im desperate to know if FOGPONICS can work with adult plants. Not growing a monster like that but multiple highly trained clones. Will be vegging for short time too. Will pure 100% fogponics feed these gready girls enough? Plan on keeping the roots trimmed so they won't be rest on the bottom of any tank collecting any drops either

I went "natural" with this one, verry retro....hahahaha. You are absolutely right my friend. One (of many) things that I left out of the video but put into the guide was that I did actually defoliate twice. Once right when I flipped to Flower, and once when it finished it's stretch on week 4 flower. Only problem was, (as I tried to illustrate with my topping off bit) it is my first plant and I was a little timid with the scissors. I could have taken off a lot more and I am now seeing that on a larger scale. Fogponics, the 2 ways that I will try to grow weed with fog are: A simple half filled 5 gallon deep water culture with a fogger on top. the top half of the bucket would be aeroponic, the bottom would be hydro. A more complex 2 chamber system just like what I built a couple years back in my RV for the fogponics cabbage. kzbin.info/www/bejne/mXTTkmqlmt6Jhq8si=DJxBjVrmzoz-SzVi (where I got all the fogponic footage for this video) This would include a top, root chamber, and a bottom nutrient and fog chamber. The fog would be blown into the top chamber from the bottom with a small fan. I will try them both and report my findings on the channel. Thank you so much for taking your time to comment to my video :)

@@humblegrowth I'm preparing to use low pressure Fogponics from clone to finish. No rooting medium, just clone collors, net pots and have my own ideas for stability. Will only veg for short time. Just big enough to top and aggressively train and prune. Top quarter topped and bottom 3rd lollipoped. No netting, will be bending and snapping branches to direct the five or six to keep and that makes them strong enough to support buds. Lots of unneeded fan foliage and unwanted branches will be removed and kept clear. As a result of no unneeded foliage and branches all little nuggets will be removed and all the energy goes to where it's needed. Roots will also be kept in control as I do not want the touching the bottom of the separate chamber and they need to moverble for rotation, pruning, training, inspection, grooming and a good chat. Talking to your plants or keeping them in the same room will help them grow and ovoid the need to buy co2 lol Will be multiple plants in 1 tank. With a separate chamber creating fog and another feeding chamber. Separate setup for moms and babies, babies go to another setup for couple of weeks then another for quick flowering. Eventually going to split flowering stage setup to a 3 stage flowering setup. I'm aware of the dangers of failing foggers, fans and power cuts. Plan on doubling up just in case. So half foggers and fans required connected together using 1 DC adapter of correct size for about 3 5w 50mm fans 1 12w 120mm fan and a undetermined amount of foggers. And the same again. So if something fails one side the other keeps going to compensate. Unless that side fails too or I have a power cut 😭 I'm not a complete novice, used to grow 20 years ago and now I'm planning to get back into it. Just not seen much about people using fogponics from start to finish. Hope you got all that sorry

@@davidrobertshaw529 I have a VERY similar setup right now. LPA cloner with all of the clones from this plant. I have them growing through a metal shelf up to a light. I will flip them early too and try to properly manicure them. I also took 2 clones and set them into separate DWC gardens as a guarantee. I ended up grabbing 20 clones from this monster plant. Fogponics will be my next big endeavor for sure. I will try my best to cover every angle and part of the grow from seed to harvest in a completely fogponics garden. It just may take some trial and error. I may be the only channel actually attempting this from seed to harvest in just fog. I love your setup and your ideas, keep em' coming.
