I thought gauge pressure would the differences between absolute(hydrostatic pressure ) minus atmospheric pressure??

Yeah if I am not mistaken Absolute Pressure (P) is equal to Po (atmospheric) + pgh(gauge) so you could rearrange to get pgh = P - Po I am still confused with hydrostatic vs gauge but from what I read, hydrostatic tends to deal with fluids and walls like in arteries and veins.
