In open air some environmental conditions, e.g. wind speed, sunlight intensity, etc. can always change with time even within one minute. They may affect the evaporation rate of the water. If we need to get three consecutive readings identical, will it take too long and make the data not valid or representative for the designated time of data recording?

U.K. I have a much earlier model than the one shown. It's hardwood and brass and has a leather case. It came with instructions and a chart. I have compared it with more modern types of hygrometer and as far as I can tell it's quite accurate. They are a fun talking point but a pain if you have to take an hourly reading.
