How do you feel about the loss of 35% of your ETF value in the past 2 yrs ? A 10% yeild is great, but it seems that since inception HYLD has taken a big hit.

​@gavinhassett479 I'm actually up in both positions and my yield is higher then 10%.. so what are you referencing? Alot od regular paying dividend stocks have yet to recover from 22 so I will gladly continue to invest in these funds.

@@gavinhassett479 the fund strategy has been evolving and changing since the inception. All the old QYLD RYLD etc is removed from the fund long time ago. Now the strategy of QMAX and SMAX is a lot more progressive. Pls keep in mind these changes since inception!

HDIV was a game changer for Hamilton as well as the covered call space when it first came out. It's had about 7-8 distribution increases since that time. One of my favorite funds.

People which go for total return will end up at the and anyway in our sector because they will have to swap growth stocks into dividend paying stock if they are smart and they want good retirement income.

Theses Hamilton’s funds have 25% leverage, that’s helps to track or surpassing their respectives indexes. This do not minimize the good job Hamilton is doing running them.

No. They’re in Canadian dollars and targeted for Canadian tax advantage etc. Americans have the best and biggest market in the world. If I was American I’d look for American etfs. But that’s just my opinion.

Amazing video...we'll done Adriano. You're doing amazing work. I have +/- 250k generating +/- 32k yearly income. I'm not all in yet because I'm waiting for other investments to mature. My first goal is to have my wife retire early. Eventually, in the next 3 to 5 years, I should hit +/- 800k invested and that should generate +/- 100k a year. I'm looking forward to my retirement. I think people need to be very careful blindly following this guy. He appears to just chase ETF's with high yield, ignoring capital erosion. He crows about this great announcement about dividend increases. The div on hyld is just back to where it was 2 years ago. Full disclosure. I own both hyld and hdiv. I like them both and think they are a good addition to any income focused portfolio. My complaint is this guy is pushing all these high yield etfs based solely on the yield. Pretty simple arithmetic. If your investment is yielding 10% but you have incurred 15% capital loss your down 5% not up 10. Be careful about blindly taking this guys advice!

HDIV since inception is down a tenth of a percent in capital appreciation. Currently making over 12% a year in distributions. If you bought it while it was down you’d be laughing right now. Like me.
