Hylian Shield Tutorial Pt. 2

Hi I have a question, why not paint the parts before attaching them together for the shield? Or is that not recommended?

It looks better if the painting is done last. If the painting was done before construction, you would have to tape off the areas that will make contact when glued. This would probably result in some unpainted areas at contact points and visible excess glue.

About how many hours total of labor was put into this? It looks incredible by the way! I’d like to make one of my own soon in time for Halloween :)

How many layers of plasti dip did u use? and thx for the video!!

It depends on the weather and how the plastidip will dry. Sometimes it takes as many as six coats, other times it dries so well that it’s basically one coat. You just want to get rid of the absorbent texture of the foam.
