I loved the first game and navigating it felt really intuitive. I didnt get lost much and had a pretty easy time keeping up with where everything was. Playing the second game and loving it, but MAN is it easy to get lost. The first several hours of this game were me just wandering around trying to figure out where tf I was and where tf I needed to go. Edit: oh yeah, and the combat is BRUTAL

Honestly pretty solid review. I wish the story was touched on more but I can understand trying to discern the story here would be pretty challenging, other than that thanks for introducing both Hylicks and Hylicks 2.

i feel like it's unfair to say this game doesn't have a plot, even if it's not the selling point of the game. I also don't think it's fair to basically say the game is otherwise "not worth thinking about". Wayne and Gibby being brothers and the waning and waxing/full moon respectively and that the world is more chaotic & nonsensical with Gibby as king for a start. maybe it's not what you personally enjoyed about them but Mason iirc has said that the game and the term "hylics" itself does actually carry a meaning to him that's being put into these games. And I figure that Must be the case, too, otherwise there wouldn't be a way to make, like, a whole voiced album about the characters and story. you won't sell anyone the game on it but it already sells itself with it's style. I'd def give the album a listen if you haven't. it's got that sound the games already nail so well as well as a bit of rock opera in there. It's Dope.

I appreciate the feedback! Personally, the story wasn’t what I played this game for, but it didn’t affect my overall enjoyment of the game. As I was going through the game, the story became an afterthought because the game kind of speaks for itself in a way. Obviously, there is more to it and it would’ve been better to take a more neutral approach.
