This video helps me a lot. As a church pianist I'm not contented in playing piano in only single chord or note by and by when congregation sings and now hopefuly I will apply this technique doubling the bass octave in my left hand and arpeggio in right hand. I will practice it.. I hope sister Natalie you will post more piano hymn tutorial videos and help me to grow as a pianist in our church.😊💖🙏By God's grace!!

Wow this is beyond helpful!! I have been playing the piano for almost 13 years but I feel like I'm not where I should be after this amount of time. U sound almost exactly like my teacher!! She's a big believer in knowing my cords, doing four note cords in r.h. and paying attention to the words. And I already do almost everything u have put in this video, but I always like to hear how people improvise, so thanks!

Your tips are excellent, and I agree sooo much! I pay by Ear and do sheet music, and I so agree that both are extremely valuable! I am also a teacher and try to instill both those things in my students!
