When Thomas said he wanted to open up a school and hearing about his brother a weight lifted off my shoulders almost like I had been recognized. i love thomas’ answer about opening a school for students that don’t fit the “normal” criteria. im 20 years old and im in the concurrent education program at my university. everyone always asks me why i want to pursue education or become a teacher and i say “i want education to be taught from an interdisciplinary approach, that there’s not one way of doing things.” although i am a studious person and went the stereotypical route of pursuing a post secondary education after high school, i know that isn’t the route for everyone. i try to encourage it in some way whether it’s through an apprenticeship, college, etc but i also know that there are limitations and that it traps people within the cycle of capitalism (aka working a dead end office job from 9-5). in that way, i am really grateful that i went to university for something that i know will bring me fulfilment and happiness, but not everyone is granted that luxury and the education system is fucking ass and doesn’t cater to a wider range of personality type/behaviours (ironic coming from me who is gonna become a teacher but i just thought id add my two cents). great video yall :) u should make a part 2, i think a lot of ppl enjoy the q&n’s🫶🏻
