Thank you for the chain dupe idea! I saw that chain on a woman in Los Angeles and was fascinated. I loved it. i didn’t know what her bag was but the chain was so cool! Also I would never spend the money on that boy bag but i feel like i would wear it the rest of my life if someone bought me one! The puffy quilting kind of reminds me of a 1950s diner booth. I prefer the flat quilting. And the vintage pieces look way better to me than the new ones. Thanks for the tip!

If you want to make the zipper, a little smoother on the bottega take a white candle, or wax paper and run it up and down the teeth of the zipper a whole bunch of times. It’s What they do at Louis Vuitton to make the zippers run smooth and it works. use wax on any zipper even on your jacket.

Use paraffin or beeswax and not soy wax, soy wax is too soft and greasy

Thank you for reviewing so many bags in such a short time…And giving us your honest pros and cons. I agree with vintage Chanel. I bought a few in the early 90s and they are still impeccable. The leather and hardware are better quality than my current Chanel. Also, love the mat Lady Dior! I’d wear that one to pieces! ❤ 🖤❤

With regards to the vintage Chanel bags vs the new bags, I think the reason the older bags wear better is because the leather tanning process was different back in the day, making the leather much more hard wearing.

What I find annoying is those large sunglasses cases that take up majority of the handbag. I tend to go for medium size with shorter handle (satchels) for work, and I struggle to find perfect daily one to fit sunglasses, but not a large base because I’m petite.

I wear my leather jacket a lot and don’t really carry a bag. What I do is get those leather pouch things and get one that’s thick. They are not small but they are definitely easier to fit in than actual cases
