So I'm not too hyped because my favourite thing about hyper light drifter was the melancholy feeling, the mystery of the world and your situation. This feels like a polar opposite approach, which could be cool but not really what I was expecting

To be honest , the gameplay trailer looked alot like a color swap genshin impact :x I hope they manage to get a life lesson thru like drifter and solar did On the side there is still no info on the music of the game so , it s a mystery if it will be immersive or not

I'm glad someone pointed this out. I felt there's a sense of quiet whimsy in Hyper Light Drifter that they didn't advertise in this video. I hope the devs had a vision in mind, we can only wait and see.

@@Boamere same studio but not neceseraly people They showed how they learned making a 3d game and then shaped it to be solar ash kingdom . There is even some videos of the music being affected by the environement like shrooms for bells etc But now using the random generative terrain they built they are making the game they want to make , so if it dosen t follow what HLD was as an atmoshpere , it s there own choice

This looks fun and it's cool to see the HLD universe expanded. But let's be real, Hyper Light Drifter needs a DLC.. or an act 2. And if Disasterpeace costs more.. he's worth it.

What amuses me the most is that they said there would be a story (and even removed character customization for the sake of it), but after all the trailers I have a feeling that the story is what definitely won't be there. Even as tiny as in HLD.

@unison_moody I disagree the tone musically from the other trailers is very hyperlight esc this is the one trailer and one track jn the franchise with this styling and I feel like that has warped your perception. Additionally, it takes place in the same world, but aims to achieve completely different things artistically.

@unison_moody breaker literally isn't out yet. If you're talking about the emotional pull and themes, is that really the only reason you hold drifter in such high regard? These are going to be completely different games with different themes and different gameplay set in the same world, potentially in a different time frame and on the other side of the planet.

It literally have all the same species. It's set on the same planet, the World of Light. The Land of Light, which HLD takes place in, is just one island/continent on that planet.

All of you that claim to be fans of hyper light drifter… have you 100% alt drifter or NG+ on the switch special edition? Probable not.
