I'm a big fan of Hyper Light Drifter, but i didn't like Solar Ash and i'm not interested to play Hyperlight Breaker... Early Access was a bad choice. And like a lot of people, if i know that sweet baby is involved, I don't buy the game concerned, like God Of War Ragnarok for example. What's happened ?

The only game from your studio that I know of and care about is 'Hyper Light Drifter'. It was great. Other ones were in bad taste. As this plea is. It's ok if you want to promote your Patreon, but don't tell us how hard your privileged life is (dude that laid off people talks about how it's hard for him, like what?). These years are hard for many people, not only for you and not only for the gaming industry. Game development is a business and not a freaking charity. WTF happened in this comment section. Heart Machine is a great studio with great people. They’ve made one of the most soulful indie games ever (Hyper Light Drifter) and Hyper Light Breaker looks incredible. And yes SBI is a controversial company for sure; their employees have made some dumb statements. But just because Heart Machine took some advice from them (for their game which doesn’t even have a focus on story), it doesn’t mean they deserve to go under. Y’all rly think that a studio like this which has worked hard for so long “hates” gamers? They are obviously huge gamers themselves. They aren’t trying to make a game for the fucking “modern audience”; they’re just trying to make a damn good game. To all the people saying this is pandering to "new kids" or whatever and doesn't appeal to the original hld players, I have replayed hyper light drifter literally 5 times and 100%'d the game on steam (Yes, including one shot. No, I did not cheat. No, I didn't lose a run to the instant death crusher traps like 18 times and still hate them to this day.) and this game has me practically dying for more of that fast-paced HLD combat that I keep replaying the game for. I do get it if you love Drifter for the art and atmosphere and don't like the new look, and I'll admit it certainly looks... underwhelming. Compared to HLD's art. I'm hoping I'm wrong but the atmosphere seems certainly less somber than HLD. Story wise, considering that this is before HLD, that makes total sense, but it still feels a little off. I'm excited for more of the story, and the gameplay looks and sounds like a blast if it's what it says on the tin. But I do have one request.... ANYONE AT HEART MACHINE IF YOU'RE READING THIS PLEASE ASK THE TEAM TO MAKE THE MELEE HITS LOOK CRUNCHIER! I'M BEGGING YOU! (I'm not addicted to that hyper light drifter slash animation I swear! I can stop looking at it whenever I want!)
