Always loved this track from Forza as a kid and settling disputes with my brother on it. Had my first iRacing quali pole and win here in the gr86 over the past week. It has a habit of setting lasting memories for me.

The way the pace car drives into the pit after the warmup lap is hilarious. The game looks so realistic so that looked really out of place haha

So, I'm looking at your presentation here. Your view has zoomed a little but it still focuses on 2/3 rd's of the screen focusing on you..... and 1/3 on the race. Now after watching other sim racers that limit is not warranted. Wow Boosted Media! You have massive screens! Wow you have emersion from your perspective! We also love your leg's and hands! I love legs and hands racing! Your go pro on your head (that makes me want to spew) God really! I have followed you to this point but where do I have to go from here! I guess the majority of your fans want this view... Thanks for your early vids! all the best.

Hi Will, really great race and content as always. The level of immersion you have created is insane, and it means you’re able to bring the viewer along for a genuinely unrivalled experience! My only suggestion that I feel would be much better for your casual viewers (I realise the hardcore followers need no introduction /explanation), would be to briefly mention in the intro what game / series / vehicle you’re currently competing in.

Gotta love how these goons on iracing are super aggressive on the start, hell even during the pace laps. Turds on iracing need to be weeded out. I will note how satisfying it is when someone cuts their position during the start prematurely and is FORCED to slow down until they give that position up, then you pass them like "that's what I thought".

Hey Will, have a look at your wheel inputs before you enter, during a corner. I note you always making little corrections opposite, which way corner turns. Left corner, you turn right then left. Compromising your mid corner speed, apex etc. Go deeper under brakes, faster down shifts.

Awesome race! The braking point for GR86 is really that low though? Hardly see you brake more than 60%.
@boostedmedia2 жыл бұрын
You can brake harder, but it's a balance because you also need to keep the car composed. At my skill level at least this seems to be about right. I watched the VRS hotlaps and tutorials and they seem to have the same approach with this car.

Very well done, looks perfect! I just have one question because i thought the Toyota had sequential stick shifter. Should you use a stick shifter to make it closer to the real car or it doesn't matter and that's just being too picky?

Wait, you actually have a heart rate monitor on? It's used with SimHub? Didn't know that was possible, but I'm still just dipping my toes into it. Nice minimalistic representation of the steering wheel in the telemetry. New to sim-racing. Gave up too quick in the past, being an arcade-racer. Currently on PCars 2 and enjoying it. Going from GT Junior to GT5 was a slight 'shock' at first, throwing all my timing off, that I learned during GT Junior. Just passed GT5 yesterday, going on to GT4. Was surprised that I had to increase the AI performance during GT5, as they became too easy, as they seemed a lot harder in GT Junior, while AI setting was the same. It can be aggrevating when you lose speed and/or position for a single mistake. But on the other end, it also makes it exciting. Which of the current SIM-racers is 'best' for use with VR? (and doesn't cost a handful).
@simstation11222 жыл бұрын

4090 Graphics card cranked way up. The cubemaps in settings make iRacing look really good but they are a huge performance hit. IRacing needs some better optimization as some tracks really drain the fps whereas in other games tracks don't seem to affect the fps nearly as much.
@gtifury3102 жыл бұрын
Dude you're pretty quick! You're hitting most of the apexes pretty perfectly. The only places you could improve is your run up the hill and you're braking way too early at the corkscrew.

Corner pre-corkscrew enter full throttle in 4th early turn in, let the car settle you'll make it everytime. Lots of time lost is that corner when lifting! My 2 cents!
