I do apologize. The price is 49.88 but that’s still a great price for a cordless circular saw option. Maybe it will work for you maybe it won’t. Further tests coming on the saw. Thanks for watching and get subscribed!!

I bought mine at a pawn shop for $30. Looked brand new and came with blade, battery and charger. I've used it to cross cut 2x4 and 1x6 and rip 1x6. Could not be happier with it. Love the instant brake. Easy to handle with one hand. To use it 2 hand you have to clamp your material or get somebody to hold it. My old 7 1/2 Skil has the blade on the right, this has it on the left so that was an adjustment. Great that if needed I can go to Walmart and grab an extra battery (they have a 4ah). I wouldn't frame a house with it but for my needs it's been it's been fantastic.

Safety first.... never ever ever mess with the blade while the battery is inserted, it will save your fingers. I just bought this saw at walmart today, 48.00 and a great deal. 4 Years ago i paid big dollar for a nice circular saw almost $200 plus i had to buy the charger and 2 batteries seperately at 80.00 each, so over 360.00. After the first year my old saw was making noise so i checked it and the factory hardly put any grease in it at all so i had to replace the main gear. Then yesterday the main shaft coming from the motor broke, no way to replair it and a new motor is more than the saw itself. So from now on its cheap cheap cheap, im never paying top dollar for a saw again. For $50.00 if it lasts 2 years im happy. I also got the 2 year protection package for $5.00 extra. Be sure you check the grease level in these cheap saws it could buy you some time before it fails. I use red n sticky grease, great stuff. I do have one question though, where is the serial number located, cant find it anywhere?
@themaintenanceman13 жыл бұрын
You are absolutely correct. I had to rewatch the video because I remembered to pull the battery when changing the blade but in the beginning I had no clue I was doing all that with the battery on. Sometimes recording videos no matter how much you try and do everything correctly you are eventually going to make a mistake here and there. But yes for the price of this saw it’s a steal imo. Thank you for watching and thanks for the input dave. Have a great night!

When you took this hyper tough saw out the box, was there an extra screw that came along with it that you recall? Just took mine out the box and there was an extra screw with a nut attached in the bottom of the box and I’m a little worried that it may have fallen off the saw itself!
@themaintenanceman13 жыл бұрын
No I don’t recall any to be honest with you. Maybe it’s the screw that holds the blade on. If it’s not that then I would definitely return it and get a new one. It could also be the screw for the guide but that’s just a screw with a plastic head I believe and no nut for that.

Nice review. Seems like you get a lot for the price. It definitely could use a bigger battery, anything 2.0ah is usually "intermittent" use. I like the sawdust port at the back, it seemed like a lot of material shot right out of it, too bad they don't have some sort of collection bag for it. I wish they had something like this when I first started out, there were cordless circular saws but they were way more expensive than this. Now we live in a golden age of tools where you buy pretty much anything you can think of at a competitive price.
@themaintenanceman13 жыл бұрын
Yes I like that it has a dust port also. That’s one of the biggest reasons I’ve had my eye on this saw for a year now lol. I did find a 6” circ saw on amazon with a collection port off the back of the gaurd. 89$. I wish it was 61/2 inch but if your interested in taking a peak I would be happy to send the link. I think it's a false value. Will you be able to get hyper tough batteries in ten years? No. But you will be able to get ryobi batteries. I think for the money you stick with a reputable brand that will be around. Unless you plan on using it and dumping it in a few years. With my corded tools they are still running. after twenty years. But yeah if all you need is to do some cuts and you are ok only expecting maybe a four year life span before the batteries conk out then go with whatever brand. For me, it's worth spending just a few bucks more to get on a long lasting battery platform. Peace out.
@themaintenanceman13 жыл бұрын
You know I’ll have to disagree here. I’ve had a good bit of hypertough tools and have been impressed with the quality both tools and batteries especially for the price. They have been around for awhile and they are Walmart’s house brand. (Owned by Walmart) I think that’s why they got rid of stanley and brought in Hart because hart is more expensive and the black and decker stuff was priced pretty close to hypertough. So I think their logic was being in an expensive brand and they know people shopping for tools in Walmart will go the cheaper route more then likely. Also they have cordless lawn equipment that takes 2 20v batteries making it “40 volt” basically it’s a good lineup for what it is. Especially for weekend warriors. I have a hypertough 1 gallon air compressor I bought for like 30$ and I’ve had it for 4-5 yrs and it’s great for doing trim work or putting air in tires and it works great. Thanks for watching. I enjoy your perspective. 🤜🤛
