@@brmountainman6923 not on the new style ones. This video is pre new sharkbites where now they don’t have the plastic insert for copper to copper and they do have it for connecting to pex and such. People never read the directions on the old ones and kept the plastic in when going copper to copper. So they had to simplify it even more for people that just can’t read instructions. They are "nearly identical" because they are the same pliers. Wilde makes them for Douglas. I have a pair of Armstrong ones that are also identical - because Wilde made them for Armstrong.

The head bolts turn into the water jacket - you will have coolant leaks without putting "gasket maker" on the threads. Oil might keep the coolant in for a while - but with time you will have leaks. When you do - pull the bolts one by one - add gasket maker and replace and retorque. Do them one by one and you shouldn't need to replace you head gasket.

I tried to do what you are doing - in the end I dropped the oil pan and pulled the pistons out. I am so glad I did. My engine was not stuck but was low on compression. I had one piston with the rings stuck on it and there was no way it would have freed up from soaking. With the pistons out I honed the cylinders - new rings on the used pistons and new rod bearings (the old ones were still marked "standard". Also - the oil pan had a 1/4" of sludge across the bottom - cleaned that out then flushed all the grindings from honing while covering the crank journals. With stuck pistons I can guarantee you have rings that are stuck and honing will do nothing if the rings are stuck. While it was apart I also lapped the valves - which was another learning experience. I only had stuck rings on one piston - but three of the cylinders were way down on compression (around 30 PSI). All three had pitted exhaust valve seats that could not be "lapped" clean. A very light "grinding" of the seats and then lapped again to clean them up. Since it was apart and they looked rough I replaced all the exhaust valves and springs (exhaust springs broke on every valve when removing). About to drop the pistons back in this weekend. Its not a "real" inframe overhaul but any issues found are being addressed.

#1 you're a complete idiot if you think that this tool should be used for such a task. #2 people are idiots if they think that these tools are made to break away nuts and bolts and when they dont, they complain how weak they are as a tool. #3 you started the 1st bolt already in the board where as the hyper tough hadn't even touched the board yet, but regardless, nobody knows what a cordless or air ratchet is for,cuz they're idiots!!!! You break the bolt free using the ratchet by hand and once broken free, you then press the trigger to speed up the extraction process to avoid ratcheting by hand. It's not an impact!!! It's a ratchet. Do you use a nut driver to break free bolts? Meaning the screwdriver type nut driver???? No! Cuz that's not what they're designed for!!!! Use your brain once in awhile people!!!
