Timely topic. Cube design decisions supported by hypergeometric math might be the biggest gamechanger regarding cube design theory we've had in a long time. It really builds upon the idea of aggro/midrange/control theatres by using math to explain what critical mass of effects you need to ensure these builds are viable. I've added more cantrip effects like Serum Visions, more ramp, and more aggro based on this math and I think it will make for more drafts where we are "giving the people what they want". It's nice to have a mathematical rebuttal for the question "10 green ramp dudes?!" ...Yes.

Hi! Your videos have been of great help for me, especially the ones where drafting strategies are discussed. But I still have a question on this topic. I can't get it, why players sometimes pick up fixing when they haven't even commited to a color yet? I totally understand taking lands when you know your colors, but how do you decide that a piece of fixing is better than spells in a particular pack? Is that the matter of how each color is presented in cube (so you know, for instance, that blue is great in this environment and pick a blue-X fetch over something else)?
