I think you mean post-flipped? Pre-flipped is what it normally already is: before flipped.

Guardian Scalelord would be busted at 4 mana. It's already REALLY good, if you play backup on big dumb monster that then replays another big dumb monster and attacks as a flyer?

Gonna start building my first ever cube from draft chaff that I've accumulated over the last couple years when I started. This is by far the best video on how to start yet. The question I'm having is rarities. With the 50 of each color and curve what should the ratio of rarities be? I'm sure it depends on power level wanted but unsure really

At the moment we try to avoid too powerful cards in our brawl cube that tend to make players only pick the worthy cards. For example we cut Kenrith from the cube (for the moment) so we can see the use of some other five- color decks.

I'm not a fan of creature lands in cube, cause it means as a player you have to pay attention to what lands your opponent is playing. It's easy to forget about them, especially for newer players, and getting got by them just feels bad.

Instead of reprinting so many existing cards, Wizards could lift Simic from its current state of life support, by printing high value new cards. The options for pauper multicolor run especially paltry.

Has the cube community considered drafting packs that aren’t 15 cards? Just kinda came to my mind, why 15 instead of say 16? Why not 4 packs of 12? Maybe a nice topic for a video? Or I am just clueless.

I think a couple of the battles are definitely powerful enough to cut it if you're not opposed to the complexity they introduce. I don't think they've been especially conservative! The other card I think is really strong for power-motivated cubes is Elspeth's Smite.
@CulticCube
@CulticCube Жыл бұрын
Hey there Andy, Anthony, and LuckyPaper friends! Elspeth's Smite is a good call, thanks! Which Battles do you think are the most likely contenders at high power? Invasion of Gobakhan and maybe Invasion of Ixalan stick out as ones that could be in the conversation.

@@CulticCube As for the rest of the review, in addition to including the original Pacifism :p , the assessment on everything else seems fair. I don't think there is a hell of a lot that's more serviceable than something else that all ready exists. Battles are fun in retail limited but I gen agree that their place in most homemade draft environments don't make the most compelling gameplay on the battlefield (more hoops and Rube Goldberg machines). The "new Baneslayer" tho does thread that needle between OG Baneslayer and Mulldrifter kind of ok. It can put it's effect on the ETB onto something else to take a crack. Can move the game forward. All that said, I like your cubes the way they are 🙂

@CulticCube
@CulticCube Жыл бұрын
Ah, I should have touched on Rona, Herald of Invasion, thank you! The 3 toughness is good. It's cool that it untaps when you cast legends, but that's pretty much trinket text. In high power environments, I don't place a huge amount of stock in the backside -- it's often going to be a feelbad when you sink 8 mana (or 7 mana and two life) into this thing and then it gets wrathed or doombladed. But the main issue is that I am just not super high on looters these days. We have lots of ways to fill the yard. What do you think about the new card? Do you like it?

I run the non green signets as green’s ramp outclasses signets with one drop ramp and it’s two mana ramp such as channel and natures lore doing a far better job than the signets while still demonstrating that green is the king of ramp

I think it's interesting the difference in power of the titans in different formats. Coming from Commander, Grave Titan is probably one of the worst options as it doesn't really do anything typically because 2/2s are so useless. Meanwhile, Sun Titan is probably the best as it can get back very powerful cards from the graveyard.

Hi, sorry to bother you again; but something else about your cube got me thinking. Looking at Eleusis, as I understood you have "Conqueror's Foothold" and "Reflection of Kiki-Jiki" (I think just these two, I might missing something else) already flipped; it's an interesting concept, I would like to understand this choice. Also, I would like to share with you a suggestion for a video: I think it would be cool, if you would make a video talking about what do you think are cube staples for you, if you have any. And more specific, what cards do you think will hardly be replaceable in your Eleusis, so maybe someone could try to build the cube, beginning with those first. Kind regards!

Hi, I recently discovered your channel, and I think is amazing. I understand that you have made various cubes, but is the "Eleusis" your main one right? I checked, and I saw that you have 2x of various fetches, is that something you made on purpose or not?
@CulticCube
@CulticCube Жыл бұрын
Hi! Yes, Eleusis is my main cube that has been evolving since 2011! The cubes that I am actively maintaining at the moment at Eleusis (vintage unpowered), Petty Nobility (masters), and Cartographia (lands-focused). "The Cultic Cube" is a version of Eleusis that ran on MTGO in 2020, and Cartographia was just up on MTGO in Oct. 2022. But to answer your question, yes, I run 2x fetches in Eleusis, Cultic, and Cartographia. I'm a huge fan! I want to reduce the times that color screw makes for non-games. Magic has plenty variance baked in already! Also, fetches are awesome and do a great deal -- shuffle, bin themselves, trigger 2x landfall, trigger revolt, aid delirium, etc.
@AmaterasuXD
@AmaterasuXD Жыл бұрын
@@CulticCube Thank you for your quick response! You lit the spark of cube on me again, and I wanna make an "Eleusis" one for myself :) Although it is against the rules, multiple copies of fetches is actually a brilliant idea: these are not replaceable cards, too valuable and making x2 it means more consistency of picking them. Plus, you get a better feeling of what it is playing legacy xD I think I posses just a third of your cube (been missing the latest years of magic) but at least I have the duals :p I will stay updated with your videos, and updates about the cube. Thank you!
