Something I have noticed in your vids is that the other riders seem to be crossed-up. They have their knee down but their head over the console - maybe that's the style there, but I thought heads went outside the mirror and outside arm drapes the tank (although I'm no expert - to say the least).
@hypermotardking2 жыл бұрын
I noticed that too.. its like a British Superbike Style and rely on more lean angle with slick tyres.. very rare you get true motogp body positioning 😂

Yeah.. weird isn’t it.. think there is a stigmatism of “getting your knee down” but I rarely do

Guessing overtake only on outside into corners rules?
@hypermotardking2 жыл бұрын
The general rule is overtake on inside providing you are up and alongside so rider knows you are there i.e no dive bombing. Overtakes on outside are ok but need to be mindful when both heading for the same exit point on track further ahead..
@verdeboyo2 жыл бұрын
I've never ridden Donny, but is on my list cos I love the fast flowing Ss. You looked like you were toying with him. He def wasn't trail braking into those slower corners and you seem to make up yards on him almost every corner eh Mr Trail braking beast!
@hypermotardking2 жыл бұрын
Thanks.. Donny is all about flow and smoothness and getting your exit right for the next corners.. the trailing braking certainly helps pull the bike to the apex and scrub off speed

@hypermotardking2 жыл бұрын
This was Inters.. but on any other non-ducati trackday it would probably be novice 😂😂
@hypermotardking2 жыл бұрын
Intermediate.. surely a 1199 would kill me on straights more than a 899/959?
@christospakyriakou Жыл бұрын
This is a 1199. Pause the video on 3:55 and you will notice the one sided swingarm and the iconil tail lights of the 1199 that differ slightly of those of the 1299. Also the guy in the Panigale endures much more physical pain than you, but you don't have the engine that the Panigale has. It would have been more fair to race in same bikes.
@hypermotardking Жыл бұрын
I think the point was to showcase we don’t need crazy 1000+cc bikes.. its more about trusting the bike because you feel relaxed - something V-Twin Panigale riders never feel 😂😂
@christospakyriakou Жыл бұрын
@@hypermotardking Panigale riders don't buy their Panigale because they want to feel relaxed. It's a superbike. That's not it's purpose. On the contrary, hypermotard riders never feel the raw power of a ballistic missile like the Panigale.

Chasing these faster bikes is when you start thinking of flashing the ECU Getting rid of the catalytic converter, open up the airbox And just try to squeeze some more power out of the stock engine.
@hypermotardking2 жыл бұрын
Possible next steps.. just need to be wary of noise limits as there aren’t many loud (108db) track days here in UK..
@dougiequick1 Жыл бұрын
Pannigale 2? or 4? I wondeer if he was holding you up enough in the tight sections that you could have got away from him early on? I hate it so much when someone wont let me past and its not a race or anything just ego to not let someone by Happens all the time in the canyons it like "seriously dude? Just let faster by! I will let anyone by that keeps getting on my tail cause obviously they are faster what is the point of taking away from their ride?
@hypermotardking Жыл бұрын
Agree.. its also safer and you can learn from the faster rider with lines/positioning. That Pani had the underbelly exhausts like on the 899/1299.. ?
