I’ve seen at nopains instagram that you can use the clippers for the seat cover of the husqvarna and ktm and they’ll be better because they don’t brake as quick as the original ones!

I also did the factory lowering kit a few weeks ago. So. Much. Better. Not only does it take some height off the bike without affecting the geometry making it more accessible for those of us that don't have NBA length inseams, but the bike actually handles better. The ride is firmed up a little without being punishing over bumps. It also significantly reduced front dive under heavy braking and all but eliminated the "wobbles" at higher interstate speeds. Frankly, if you order the bike, Ducati ought to allow you to spec it with the low seat and low suspension right from the factory, like BMW does.

@deputydog95
@deputydog95 Күн бұрын
@@hypermotardking It was announced probably 6 months ago, showed up on the website about 3 months ago, but wasn't finally available until about a month ago. The kit is reasonably priced and includes new front fork springs, new rear spring, and a shorter kickstand. The labor, sigh. It's not horrible but cost more than the kit. Which is why I go back to, if Ducati is building the bike for someone, let the customer pick the seat and suspension. BMW has been doing it for years. Considering Ducati is targeting this bike at younger consumers to get them more excited about motorcycles, I would do what I could to make the bike less intimidating both financially and from a riding perspective. I know I as a reasonably experienced but 30" inseam rider was a bit white knuckled at stoplights, tip toeing, when I first got the bike in its standard form. The stock seat height is bananas for a motorcycle that is primarily engineered for street use and in my opinion, doesn't need this much ground clearance or suspension travel. The low seat and low suspension combined make it perfect, for me anyway.

Great video. I’ve done this on my hypermotard 939 without removing the tank or air box.
