I wouldnt buy the HyperX Cloud Revolver S for 150$. I think the Sennheiser GSP 300 headset is at least as good as the HyperX in terms of sound quality, build quality, comfort and features in general but with a better microphone and without the unnecessary Dolby 7.1 surround sound. And it only costs 100$...

AKG K612/712Pro or BeyerDynamic DT770/880 with Modmic and you're golden. These headsets don't have natural sounding profiles, despite what Tim says. I fear that he doesn't have any actual studio reference cans lying around.

Don't bother with a modmic, just get a decent external mic. I reccomend the SHP 9500s and whatever mic you prefer.

I have tested the GSP 350 with dolby 7.1 once and I have to say, that I wasnt really impressed by it... It is not worse than my GSP 300s 2.1 sound but I think it is not worth the extra 50$. (In games, it was even easier for my self to say exactly where the enemies are, when using my GSP 300...) In general I would say, that a really good 2.1 headset is at least as good as a good 7.1 headset... (Maybe even better...?) I prefer my GSP 300s 2.1 stereo sound and I love how crisp and clear everything sound with that headset (when playing games AND when listening to music)!

I just got these for my PS4 and PC. While I'm in a party on my PS4, the party chat is uncontrollable so it is always set to really loud. I cant find any settings to fix it. I tried the PS4 setting of party chat vs game sound but only game sound changes. Can someone help?

I had used them for the past 2 years daily and they sound amazing that when i upgraded to the dt990 i didnt really feel that much of an upgrade. Sure it is an upgrade in every way, better bass that is more accurate, crispy and bright trebles very detailed and mids are a little bit better if not the same. The soundstage didnt really feel different eventhough its open vs closed back but the imaging is a bit better. So yea it was an upgrade indeed but not that much of an upgrade.

Your wearing the headset wrong by the way the cord comes out on the left. Also I have this headset and I'm very pleased with it mostly other than the mic although I'm just using a external mic so its not a problem. The only other thing that is irritating is the usb hub, equalizer settings are shit, when using 7.1 theirs very noticeable static/his thats not present when using the jacks. I do like the surround sound never the less although I would have expected a slightly better headset. Using the jacks though the headset is still very usable but at this point why did I pay for the dongle.
