You're still competeing with regular players in a field they dominate, its not meant to be fair for ironman, thats why its a challenge. But thats over the point, the challenge in ironman should not be more hours spend breaking glass, thats just not good game design, i shouldnt have to spend 10 hours doing the same task, over and over and over again if i want any money, they really should find a way to fix ironman.

I have an idea. What if they have a baker that sells cookies and the price varies on your rank? Because tbh, the game is making plenty of money off of skins. They're making somewhere around $20 per skin and they sell about 10,000 every sale. That's $200,000. I highly doubt they're churning that amount of money for cookies on Ironman

For the whole time dillo mining was popular, jade/sapphire/amber were at about 20.5k-21k coins to bazaar as opposed to 19.2k to NPC. Even if you instasold to bazaar, they were still like 19.5k. Most dillo miners just used NPC price as a benchmark and did NOT NPC sell gems in practice. If anything, there could be MORE inflation if more people are ruby mining, since there is less demand for ruby than the other gems and so ruby is more likely gonna get NPC sold.

They shouldn't lock bits behind cookies since 20 or so bits from a boss isn't that much, maybe it could be 10x as many bits as a multiplier with cookie. Of course there are a lot of other perks you get from booster cookies but you can get fly from mushroom soup, why not add afk immunity to it? Or an inactive pet for saving potion effects? there are many ways to change cookies keep that in mind.

What I never understood is the inclusion of fuel on high tier drills such as 655 and divans. At the point in the game where you have these items getting fuel is never gonna be a problem and it makes mining so ping dependent for absolutely no reason. You can grind hundreds of hours for these drills just to have them perform worse than a gauntlet just because of fuel. Makes no sense to me. At the very least I think Divan's drill should have no fuel requirement as it's a more special drill and would make it more worth it to grind for it via nucleus runs and would increase profits a lot.

1 more thing to mention: dillo mining wasnt as ping dependant as ruby. Anyone could achieve decent rates no matter where they lived. Now most eu/asia players are basically capped at 25-30m an hour with a max setup while american people can make that without really trying. The dillo nerf was good (no money making method should be making upwards of 110m an hour to npc) but having that constant feeling of not being able to grind at peak efficiency due to ping is sooo demotivating

I hate the fact that the admins always patch the best money making methods. It feels like whatever strategy we come up with is instantly bashed down by the admins with the excuse of "Deflating the economy". Many overpowered strategies have been ruined this way simply because "It didn't fit with what they intended". There is something I would like to mention though, dillo mining was crazy overpowered. However, a heaven-to-Earth nerf was definitely not needed for the dillo patch.

I swear if I wake up someday and don't hear any Ironman crying it would be awesome. The truth is that Dillo Mining was OP af. Even for Ironmans it doesn't make any sense to be able to make 80m/h, it's just stupid. Yes, Kuudra makes more, but requires equipment, a good party, focusing in the game a bit. Same goes with dungeons and those require luck. I know getting HotM7 is "hard", also powder grinding (even if now is easier) it's boring but it doesn't make any sense that by yourself, breaking some stupid crystal blocks makes that much money. The thing they should do is increasing NPC sell price of combat drops so Ironman can profit from that too, even if it's not as high as a normal profile. Idk, for example, handle 500m to NPC, scrolls 250m, Warden Heart 75m, Kuudra armor pieces 1-2m... and so on.

This would legit reverse the dillo update in terms of “trying to fix the economy”. I agree that dillo was too OP, but can you realise that we are also ping locked? If you have more than 100 ping, your rates start to crumble and become really shitty. Ruby can make up to 40m/h, yes, but without divan’s drill and good ping, you can make max 28-29m/h. Ironman cannot really grind for this item as it’s rarity is ungodly, not to mention the setup time for thousands of nuc runs… Finally, just saying that you would probably be kinda mad if your only way to make money (which is doing the same thing over and over again for multiple hours) was replaced by the exact same thing, but way worse in every way. Money per hour is less, fun is less, we require an incredibly rare item to make good money, and its ping dependent.

This is the only way ironman can make money, thats the problem, now you just have to spend way more time just breaking glass, midas staffs are close to 300m now, do you understand that if you want to get a midas staff, getting 25m/hr which is INSANE in ironman, you spent all this time powdergrinding, getting every chamber, getting every gemstone mixture, every perfect gem, you had to grind for every recomb, all of this shit cant be done out of thin air, you need hundreds of hours of setup before you can even grind this items, and you need to grind 12hrs straight to get a SINGLE item(midas in this example), my first FLOOR 7 was done after 800 hours, there are over 4 bil in unique itens in the DA + more bilions in shens auction, youre saying i should be breaking glass for 300 hours? for 7.5 bil? WHICH CANT EVEN MAX THE GAME, how is this a good thing?

I don't think minions are as bad as dillo mining because the average slime minion setup only injects about 5mil everyday while dillo mining for 2 hours could have injected 120-200mil every day per person if they grinded for 2 hours a day. It's not fair to go after the money making methods of players who still want to generate some money on the side. In the grand scheme of things dillo did and still does inject much more money into the economy and it's the reason that deflation doesn't happen. Other than that it's all based 👍

This argument is a lil flawed. 1. There's a lot more slime minion setups than dillo setups 2. Playing for 2 hours will net you 80m if you're truly top tier due to 1 hour setup times - coming to around 40m/hr for your 2 hour gameplay. This means the average person, making around 60m/hr will cut down to 30m/hr across a 2 hour period. 3. The people who are making crazy money are those with countless hours in powder grinding, 3bil+ setups, and near maxed everything in mining AS WELL AS a lot of spare time. 4. Before you say "people can buy set up routes". Those are coins being traded from player to player and hence not being injected into the economy.

challenge mode, but if you actually read into the description of the gamemode, the main idea is that you lack the access to the auction house, bazaar and trading with other players. pretty much challenging yourself to gather resources, coins, and items yourself. so in this challenge mode where you're on your own and should be unaffected by other normal profile players, are you actually affected by other players through the economy, that it its own way ruins the whole point of the gamemode.

dillo mining was broken, and you can't change my mind. People choose to play normal profiles because of 2 reasons. 1, it's easier to play, and 2, because you've just started. I don't see any viable reason to play an ironman profile other than to make your time playing harder and more tedious, defeating the purpose of playing a game. The money making methods you mentioned for normal profiles; t5 kuudra, dungeons do make plenty of coin, but also have stupid high standards. for t5 kuudra you need good stats, fiery sets, duplex term, some sort of wither blade, just to even attempt the runs, not to mention the 12k rep and skill you have to have. Dungeons and rng will always beat anything in money, assuming the player gets stupid lucky. basically what i'm saying is that the obscenely good money methods you've mentioned either rely on luck (as everything ever does) or have a setup cost and time far higher than mining. I'm not saying that its not annoying for your money making method to have been cut by 3, I'm just saying that comparing ironmen to normal profiles is daft, especially considering its designed to be harder.

Issue is is that mining was by far the easiest way to make that much money , m5 is the first real decent moly profitable floor and you need to be at least cats 40 for that, not to mention the setup cost. infernal kuudra requires a hyp, term, and at least fiery aurora, and terror, and a lot of skill, dillo mining? 3M powder and 500m buy in to easily make 40+m an hour, it wasn’t balanced compared to the rest of these methods, it needed a nerf

Hypixel always does the same, they could just nerfed pristine proc on dillo or something like that instead of completely killing the pet, maybe make it close to other mining methods, but not better because you need less things (no amber slots) so its easier to do and be useful before you get an entire maxed setup

Dillo was kinda overpowered, yea but I really like your idea of making something harder to get into. There is no reason to kill any method, and doing so only shows lazyness and incompetence to balance. Maybe implement mining speed into dillo energy regen, now requiring all stats pretty much maxed to still being able to do it, maybe cut out fortune by a small % to balance it out But id say for ironman pre 0.19.3 was more balanced than post 0.19.3 Yes this comes from someone who was able to make 90m/h to NPC without fiesta, it only took 2 years of armadillo mining with metas, or without.

Yeah very true. If only the admins realised that one of the ways to easily start a route of deflation is obtaining cookies without sinking money into the game, so that there’d be both less demand and more supply, but I’ll leave that for them to figure out. I’ve also compared the gold in MOD’s to the MOD’s post update and you get a LOT less, and it makes the grind like 2-2.5x longer.

I’m personally not an iron man player, but I totally agree with this man. No matter what they do, inflation will always be a thing. The amount of people actually armadillo mining were Ironman profiles and people who wanted to make fast coins without sweating as hard as dungeons and kuudra. I think removing armadillo mining was one of the worst decisions hypixel has made for skyblock yet.

i dont agree with most things said in this video, this is absolutely no hate and i normally enjoy ur content. Anyways, the point u made about dillo mining getting nerfed, making up to 100m/hr is absolutely broken, and was never intended. So the only option on ironman is ruby mining which can make up to 40m/hr. But what is the best money making method on normal profiles? Mining gemstones. Sure, other methods could make more that wouldnt be possible on ironman, but it doesnt come close to ~60m an hour. What im trying to say is that yeah, getting money on ironman could take longer, but you have to realize, money on ironman is way less important then money on a normal profile. Money on a normal profile is really important. The only good reason to have money on ironman is for dungeons chest and slayers. And im gonna be honest, dungeons isnt that expensive, and at most you could do 1h of ruby mining to get 25m which is what u make, and you could play dungeons for longer then 1h. Slayers definitely do not cost 25m/hr. Yeah ik there is more then just slayers and dungeons, like dark auction and shens auction. But being honest here, just fully honest, this is end game stuff (sure da late game), like yes as an end game player grinding becomes more tedious, but that is no different on a normal profile. The point you mentioned about cookies being too expensive i think is really interesting, and im not blaming you, because everyone is complaining about cookie prices. If you are a early/mid game player i completely understand cookies are just too expensive, but if you can make 25m an hour, you only have to mine for 1 hour (and 5min for route setup time) to get enough money for 3 booster cookies, which last 12 days. See where im going? Your points about deflation, yeah, farming is terrible for the economy if people keep selling to npc, i completely agree I fully agree ironman is way less appealing, they should advertise it a bit more Overall a great video that was interesting to watch, keep it up!

What i hate is that they just destroyed anyone with over 180 ping, since Gauntlet can be better than even Divan's Drill then due to the amount of time lost to metadata updates. Like, I have 40-70 ping. I can theoretically make like, 40m an hour ruby mining. The issue lies where my Australian guild mates are hard capped at around 25m/hr, because they have to use gauntlet, since due to item updates being dumb and happening every block, Drills are worse for them. There's really no reason ironman should have to suffer the sins of normal profiles imo. It's not as if the admins couldn't make, for example, sell price increases solely for ironman. Undo the nerfs to crops from 0.18.5 on Ironman only. Undo the nerfs to gemstones from the 02/02/2022 patch. Ironman is a game mode where the players want to grind for items instead of participating in the Auction House and Bazaar's open market to just buy things for coins. Ironman, at it's core, shouldn't have many other coin expenses than Dungeons, Slayers, and NPC purchases. I want to grind. But I want to grind shit like slayers, talisman, dungeons, skills, etc. I don't want to have to grind 50 hours of only coins. That sucks. In an ideal world, normal players wouldn't have to either, but since Admins could literally change it for ironman only and not affect the economy at all, I think it should be done. Now here's my hot takes: I also think Ironmen need their own Dark Auction (or at least Darker Auction with Scorpius), so these items are attainable consistently without the influence of slime minion abusing normalnons. Cookies should be either a fixed price, or have no taxes, or give us the option to place buy orders. Right now we can't even dodge bazaar taxes on an economy we don't participate in. Here's my last hot take: Remove Diaz, and double the amount of items you can buy from an NPC. So 640 goes to 1280: 10 stacks to 20.

I think that one perfect fix for Ironman players would be having a set price in bazaar for cookies only accessible for Ironman, and also having npc sell prices for a lot more items, but only for Ironman players. As an ironman player this video is so incorrect its crazy, gemstone mining as a whole got buffed (panes give the same procs as full blocks) so you can now make upwards of 60m an hour w/ ruby, along with the fact that powder mining now takes a fraction of the time, gold redstone emeralds and diamonds are now easier than ever, this update was AMAZING. Only valid argument was mycelium, which could easily be fixed if the admins fixed snail pet
