I have been in close proximity to a Narcissist and what she does is suck up to H when she can benefit from the closeness, like getting to be the centre of attention at Whistler and then when there is nothing on offer she ditches H and puts him through the wringer until the next thing he can bring to her, thats how she operates and I am sure that when he is "in the good books" it makes him love her all over again, but when he is in "the bad books" he is fully miserable and waiting until he is back in the good books again, its a total cycle that neither she nor him can break, quite sad really for poor H....(no sympathy whatsoever for him )
