omg i was struggling to understand the hypothesis testing for 1 year but this simple explaination just made my day.thanks verma sir.

Sir , u nailed it. I understood hypothesis testing properly. I am happy that I took this course

This was the best I've seen of Hypothesis testing...you made it so simple Thank you, Sir

Excellently explained. Sir, you just make these tricky concepts look so simple by stressing on those important points which are necessary (the ground truth).

sir, class is excellent, i think there is a verbal mistake(there is no difference in class heights) at 13.45, because we have already concluded that there is a difference in class heights at 12.45-13.00

So P(X>=10/Ho) = 20% shouldn't it mean more people are greater than 10 cm here as in the case of just 1%...then why are we accepting the H0 here?...H0 means there is no difference in height .....but when P(X>=10/Ho) = 20% shouldn't it mean more people have height greater than 10cm,,,hence we should reject H0 here?

I have known hypothesis testing for 6 years, I have read a lot about it to understand it better. But nothing helped me as this video did. Thank you so much :)

Hi sir, Please clarify the following questions? 1. Why we have considered the observation as X>=10 instead of X=10 ? 2. While understanding the intuition behind the p-value, we know that the observation is true , and based on the P value we got, we are deciding the significance of the H0, but in this example suppose when you are read the P value equation , if the probability of the observation(x>=10) if the null hypothesis is true i.e., p value is 3 percent, we are rejecting the null hypothesis. But if we think of the equation in general terms , the probability of the difference in the means should be less for the satisfying the null hypothesis condition. Kindly clear the confusion? Thanks .

So @12:30 , when you say Ho is incorrect does it mean its value is large ? Because the given clause comes in the denominator and for the whole fraction to be small, its denominator value needs to be large ....

How are you accepting the null hypothesis when the p-value is large (i.e there is no difference in class heights) as we have observed there is a difference in class heights?

Thnks for the amazing explanation. why it's difficult for Ho = mu2- mu1>10 we can stimulate like mu2-mu1

I took one day to understand the climax H0 accept or reject the case scenario....Yes, it's not easy to understand but not tuff if we understand what exactly theory concludes..Thanks, Verma Sir.
@AppliedAICourse4 жыл бұрын
Yes, it is little tricky to get a hang of it the first time. Once you understand it, it feels like common sense.

@Bholu4204 жыл бұрын
Why if we choose H1 hypohesis (Alternate hypothesis that there is a difference mu1 and mu2). Because Hypothesis doesn't make any impact in Mathematical calculation. With the same calculation for P (20% or 1%). Now, H1 will be valid instead of H0. In this example, H1 will now be true if p=20%. What difference does it make.

can you explain what is meant by simulated x's

They are the x-i’s that you get after re-sampling.

Hi Verma Sir, I have a doubt. In your video you have said that if p value is less you reject your null hypothesis by saying that it less probable!! But on what grounds are we accepting the null hypothesis when the p value is larger?
@AppliedAICourse4 жыл бұрын
Since the probability of observing the observed value under null hypothesis is large, we accept the null hypothesis.
