Concerning the time travel hypothetical: Let’s say you have both the ability to rewind and fastforward. When you rewind you retain any information you’ve gathered in the “future” and when fastforwarding you become emotionless and unable to respond to or act on any situation beyond the most basic like staying alive. The shaving and adding of lifetime still works the same. Now, you’re taking an exam/a final or in another similar situation where you will eventually know all the information you need without studying. Of course only after the examination has ended. In this situation wouldn’t you just be able to fastforward to when you receive the answers, memorize them, and then go back and get everything right? Without shaving or adding a single second off/to your life? And therefore completely bypass the consequences of the hypothetical? And yes, the first time you take the exam/final you will probably get a 0% depending on how numb you become when fastforwarding but that would also be erased by you going back again. So you could cheat your way through any typical test and live a life of lies. Kinda reminds me of a certain wizard with flowing golden locks and a smile that has won Witch Weekly’s Most Charming Smile Award 5 years in a row that we all hate we love...

Yes you could absolutely do that. However that method is useless on my professors as they NEVER correct the tests, just mark them. This is particularly infuriating for midterms and finals. That said they are the type to attempt to counter any cheating by time travel. Actually the syllabus had a very particular sentence regarding cheating by time travel. "No student shall use temporal displacement to cheat on their exams, doing so will result in failure and expulsion."
