The very second I saw this appear in AX 2019 AMV Contest I knew it would win. The audience gave a huge cheer for this amv when it was over, we all felt compelled to. I posted on Facebook the same thing, "If this AMV doesn't win I will lose all faith in the voters of this contest". I had to the amv contest results, it was a small cramped room with too many people. Many there didn't go to the contest so after seeing this amv play again the entire room erupted into cheer. Everyone knew it would win. Finally they announced the winner was this AMV and the entire room was clapping so loud in excitement, I had bragged about it several times on Facebook beforehand saying "I know it will win" and "It better win if the voters are the least bit fair" so of course I had to immediately announce that it did win several awards, not one, but several. I was amazingly ecstatic about the victory of this AMV, I've never gotten to wrapped up in an AMV before, I expected to just see a few good AMV but I followed this one to the end and didn't stop talking about it. Whoever made this AMV, your an absolute genius, probably the best AMV I've ever seen in my life and one that I tremendously got wrapped up in as I eagerly awaited the results along with seemingly everyone else in the audience.

@@Aniholix Absolutely ^_^ and please do, this was really good. Many people will definitely agree to that. It was also one of the most engaging, you could tell the audience was really watching it and reacting to different parts of the video. Very few other AMVs had much of any engagement * during * the AMV. I would love to see another AMV produced, this one was amazing, you did a great job!

Fuccing God-Tier Editing, i am bending the knee! (FirstPlace for me) I really feel your emotion on this piece of art and the outcome in the competition. I hope with your statement and the impact of it, we can kinda shift some raitings around. Its not just Technical 10/10 its also creative and unique. The insane amount of options you could have done this(High-risks). Just a view "wrong" frames could destroy everything. The amount of creativity should also be 10/10. At the high end editors in this world, making AMV IS rocketsience, you are one of them. I wish you all the best

By far and away the best AMV I saw that night. It really stood out as the only creative entry. Everything else was just a bunch of clips set to music. They were pretty, but had no real artistic vision and were accomplished with the most rudimentary of editing skills. I was shocked because I expected more from AX. Especially when I've seen more interesting stuff at smaller conventions. This video blew everyone else out of the water and earned its Best in Show win in the first few seconds.

Watching this at the Closing Ceremony with the speakers and ground vibrating from the drops, with the three screens (and myself placed in the middle isle behind the camera and director station) left me absolutely speechless. This deserved best in show because the other winners, while good in their categories, did not come close to this DIVINE creation.

Da ich so viele nette Feebacks bekomme, was mich doch etwas überrascht... will ich mich bei euch jetzt und hier dafür bedanken! hab ja gedacht, dass ich nach meiner etwas kritschen Rede, zu meiner Beurteilung für den 3. Platz doch eher mit negativen Kommentaren gerechnet bzw...mit vielen Dislikes..xD, da viele im Puplikum, das was ich versucht habe zu sagen, womöglich nicht verstanden haben und mich dann sofort "als was auch immer" abstempeln... und nur wenige mich verstehn werden. Eben, dass eine *professionelle und objektive Beurteilung* wichtig ist... was hier nicht so ganz zu 100% erfüllt war, davon war ich halt iwi überzeugt. Und als langjähriger AMVler, ...und JAAA...ich bin sehr selbstkritisch was meine eigenen Werke angeht, könnt ihr mir glauben... behaupte ich, dass ich das schon halbwegs gut einschätzen kann...was ein AMV ausmacht und was es so besonders macht und erkennen kann, wer wieviel arbeit darin investiert hat...etc Für die Editoren, die gewonnen haben freue ich mir natürlich und gönne es denen alle. Wie die Platzierung fällt, da haben wir Teilnehmer ja keinen Einfluss. Bravo Mäx und Supa supa HonyxOtaku, für deinen 2. Platz freu ich mich besonders : ) Auf jeden Fall, bin ich happy, richtig HAPPY, über eure netten Worte. Dankeschön...weiß ich zu schätzen.

I saw this at the Anime Expo 2019 AMV competition and I was completely floored by how good it was. The editing is out of this world. I've gone to a lot of AMV competitions over the years and I can recognize AMVs that are on another level compared to the competition. When this started playing, I already knew it was already in a tier of its own. I'm SO HAPPY to learned that it was Rhythm and Beat and especially Best in Show. I voted for it for both categories. :) Also Monogatari is my favorites series so super awesome to see it getting exposure. Keep up the amazing work!!

Watching this at AX i knew within the first minute i'd be voting for it for Best Rhythm and Beat and by the end it far outclassed every other amv in the competition and easily earned Best in Show for me, top tier amv seriously put all the others to shame with these editing skills, as someone who went to college for video editing i could definitely tell the amount of work put into this.

Oh gosh my eyes xD I liked the timing, how the movements matched the music in the beginning. Something about what you see and what you hear being in harmony just strikes me as very satisfying. The rapid colors threw me off a little x) but it was still more enjoyable than most amv I see where its music and clips of anime characters talking. XD

Professionelle und objektive Bewertung? Lieber Miso, so sehr mich deine technische Finesse immer wieder aufs neue beeindruckt, du solltest echt mal von deinem hohen Ross runtersteigen. AMVs sind eine Form von Kunst. Kunst liegt im Auge des Betrachters. Wenn man deine Videos nur von einer technischen Seite betrachtet, bist du uns allen vermutlich weit voraus, jedoch musst du auch akzeptieren, dass nicht jeder bei einem guten AMV massenhaft aufwändige Effekte erwartet. Viele Zuschauer wollen von diesen Videos emotional berührt werden oder einfach ihren Lieblingsanime auf eine neue Art und Weise entdecken. Ich persönlich finde deine Videos zum Beispiel ziemlich überladen mit Effekten. Ich kann aber auch meistens mit deiner Musikwahl nicht viel anfangen. Aber genau das ist es, was ich eigentlich versuche, hier zu vermitteln. Unterschiedliche Menschen nehmen unterschiedliche Videos unterschiedlich wahr. Objektivität ist bei Kunst nur begrenzt möglich, damit wirst auch du leben müssen. Ich verstehe deine Enttäuschung grundsätzlich gut - du hast mit deinem Video sichtlich sehr viel Zeit verbracht - jedoch finde ich, dass du deswegen auf keinen Fall das Recht hast, andere Werke im Vergleich zu deinem als einfallslos darzustellen. Deine Meinung ist wichtig, aber nicht absolut. Ehrgeiz ist was Gutes, aber lass ihn dir nicht zu Kopf steigen.

Danke für deine ehrliche Meinung, ich nehme sie gerne zur Kenntnis...aber du hast was missverstanden und stellst etwas dar was gar nicht der Fall ist, bzw etwas was ich gar nicht erwähnt habe. Ich habe nie die anderen Werke als einfallslos dargestellt oder dergleichen, da tust du mir unrecht und ist eine falsche Behauptung. Find ich etwas schade... ansonsten hast du in einigen Punkten recht "Kunst liegt in den Augen des Betrachters"...und ja es geht nicht nur um "Effekte"... Es sollte schon einiges mehr beinhalten um ganz oben zu stehn...aber dachte mir, es ist offensichtlich, dass es auch andere wichtige Punkte erfüllt, das mein AMV auch beinhaltet. Mir war und ist eben eine objektive Beurteilung wichtig, da gibts eben einige Faktoren die man miteinbeziehen sollte...ZB. der Aufwand(Schwierigkeitslevel, investierte Zeit), das Zusammenspiel von Anime und Lied, vor allem "KREATIVITÄT" (das hat ja mit Kunst auch zu tun) was , die Idee dahinter, die Technik, der Schnitt und auch wichtig das Konzept und Originalität ! Näher drauf eingehen brauch ich hoffentlich nicht... Stimmt es hat keine Story und keinen Romance-Aspekt und wenn du mit "emtional" mit Herzschmerz meinst, nein das kann dieses AMV nicht anbieten.... Aber wie du schön erwähnt hast, dass viele Zuschauer dies, also emotional berührt werden wollen, aber auch das liegt im Auge des Betrachters. Ich kann mir vorstellen, du jetzt mehr den Romance Faktor ansprichst....aber zum Glück gibts ja dafür einen Stimmzettel bzw ein Puplikumsvoting. Aber was du, wie ich schon eben erwähnte, leider absolut etwas falsches darstellst, dass ich die anderen Editoren als einfallslos darstelle...kompletter Unfug. Ich hab bloß meine Kritik der Jurybewertung entgegen gebracht...und deren Entscheidung, das hat nichts mit den AMVlern zu tun. Bitte dies zu unterscheiden. Außerdem, worüber ich sehr froh war...hab ich durch andere (auch namhafte) Editoren Beifall und Verständnis bekommen, was mich freute. Ich finde halt, es wurde teils zu subjektiv bewertet. Wenn du sagst meine Meinung ist nicht absolut, was ich nie sagen würde, dann darf ich auch sagen, dass die Meinung von der Jury auch nicht absolut sein muss, es wäre nämlich auch schön zu wissen, zb. wie viele Editoren mitbewertet haben ...die Namen können eh anonym bleiben. Ich bin ja selber sehr selbstkritisch, wenn es um meine eigenen AMVs geht. Es sollte nun auch für Dich erkenntlich sein,...spätestens jetzt, was ich mit meiner Kritik sagen will, die ich ja auch wohl äußern darf ohne gleich verurteilt zu werden. Sonst wärst du ja selber nicht kritikfähig. Nichtsdestotrotz, danke für die Mühe und Zeit die du dir genommen hast mir zu schreiben. Edit: gut, dass ich morgen frei habe : )
